Harvest Moon

Harvest moon tonight and tomorrow night.  What is a "harvest moon"?  According to Wikipedia, "The Full Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox."

And what's a harvest moon without Neil Young?

Weekl Poop 9/26/12

Roost #44 Poop
  • Dates to Remember:
    • Tonight - No Ravens Rap Show, 7pm; it was on Monday - read below. This is the 10th season of Ravens Rap, and through all of the changes over the years, the one constant has been Ravens Roost #44. Let’s make the 10th season the best ever!
From Eileen: Yes, we are having a Ravens Jersey giveaway every show. Except last week, it was missed. So Steve will be giving away an extra one if not this week in the next couple shows. Reschedule Reminders: (1) because of the Thursday game 9/27, that week's show will be taped next Monday, Sept 24, same time. (2) Another reschedule because of conflict w/ Comcast is show prior to Oct. 14th, Cowboys game. The show can't be on Wed., Oct. 10th. As it stands now, we made it Tues 10/9. (3) Then because of Thanksgiving, we'll film on Tuesday, Nov. 20th not Wed, the 21st. And instead of just 1 set of tickets to a game some distance away, this year we've made a sponsorship deal with JCTickets.net about giving us a few home game sets plus a close trip!!! So we're HAPPY to say we have to giveaway a set to the Raiders game Nov. 11th and a set to the Broncos game, Dec. 16th!! We'll have 1 more set for a home game, as yet to be announced. PLUS Big GAME this year w/ bus trip & couple other perks will be the Game in DC against the Redskins, Dec. 9th!! Bruce Laird will be doing a few special guest appearances and hope to give you those dates soon. We're happy to say John Corsi, owner of JCTickets.net will be coming to show! It'll be great to have Billy Carder of BJ's back, who told Steve he'd be happy to come for his 1st visit since we went to TV! Others will be announced soon! Specifics on your chances of winning tickets giveaways will be made clear at this week's show. Thanks, Eileen.

Weekly Poop 9/19/12

Roost #44 Poop
  • Dates to Remember:

  • Tonight - The Ravens Rap Show, 7pm.  This is the 10th season of Ravens Rap, and through all of the changes over the years, the one constant has been Ravens Roost #44.  Let’s make the 10th season the best ever!
From Gary:  This week our own Steve Szlasa will be one of the commentators on the show. And this should be a good one as the discussions about what the hell happened on Sunday and who was calling the plays should be informative and entertaining. Lets guess how long it takes John to say "I told you so" about Joe. Last week was a busy one with the game on Monday and the meeting on Thursday so a lot of people did not make the show. For those of you who did not make it, one of the changes this year is a segment where anyone from the audience can come up and ask the panel questions about the games or the Ravens in general. For those of you that went to the shows several years ago, this was particularly fun and informative.  The show is at 7pm this Wednesday. Come down to get a chance to win one of the prizes that are raffled off and ask those burning questions we all have about the game. ALSO starting in Oct., there will be game tickets given away at the show as well. I hope to see you all at the show this week to support Steve in his new career as a sports commentator:) Gary.
Funny Poop
  • An annoyingly self-righteous man went to the doctor for a check-up.

He said, "I feel terrible. Please examine me and tell me what's wrong with me."

"Let's begin with a few questions," said the doctor. "Do you drink much?"

"Alcohol?" said the man. "I'm a teetotaler. Never touch a drop."

"How about smoking?" asked the doctor.

"Never," replied the man. "Tobacco is bad, and I have strong principles against it."

"Well, uh," said the doctor, "do you have much sex life?"

"Oh, no!" said the man. "Sex is sin. I'm in bed by 10:30 every night, and I always have been."

The doctor paused, looked hard at the man, and asked, "Well, do you have pains in your head?"

"Yes," said the man. "I have terrible pains in my head."

"OK," said the doctor. "That's your trouble. Your halo is on too tight!"
