Weekly Poop 4/13/11

Roost #44 Poop
·         Dates to Remember:
·        Tomorrow – Monthly Roost meeting, 7:30 pm @ the Blue Ox.  Please remember to bring a bottle of wine or spirit for the Golf Tournament basket of cheer.
·        Friday – Water Conservation Meeting @ Seacrets.  4—7 $2 domestic drafts, $3.25 cans, $4 Smirnoff vodka (reg + flavored), 1/2 price jerk chicken, FF, onion rings & steamed shrimp.
·        Thursday, June 2 – Convention Weekend begins!  This is the Council’s largest fundraiser so be sure to sign up for what is always a great event.  From Jo Ann: “The Council is requesting all registration forms be returned by April 15, which is the day after our regular April meeting.  I would appreciate anyone attending to return their registrations and checks to me before our April meeting, if possible.  Members may still register after the April 15 date, but will not receive the souvenir package.  Please mail to me at 126 Pine Tree Rd., Ocean City, MD, 21842.  If you have any questions, please call me at 410-250-5124 or 410-251-4360 any time.  I will have more information of the special events--karaoke, miniature golf, scavenger hunt, bingo, etc.--at the next meeting, along with signup sheets.  The Council usually requests help with staffing the food tent and other incidental events.  Hopefully, I'll have more on that month as well.

This is a great time to meet other Roost members, as well as spending time with our own Roost members.  There's always plenty of beer and food available.  The price of $55 is very reasonable when you consider all the benefits.

You must be registered for the convention to participate in the events.  Each person attending must have proper credentials, so spouses must be registered as well.  There can't be any "sharing" this year.  This includes admittance to our hospitality room.  This is the Council's rule--not Ravens Roost 44.

Convention souvenir shirts can be ordered in advance.  That order needs to be placed by April 15 as well.  The shirts available are: Women’s tank tops, white or orchid, $11 for S,M,L, XL and $13 for 2 XL; Men’s tee shirts, white, gray or purple, $10 for S,M,L,XL, $12 for 2XL; Larger sizes are available in white only, and are $14 for 3XL, $16 for 4XL, and $18 for 5XL.  Again, I need your order and check as soon as possible.  Send to me at 126 Pine Tree Rd., OC 21842.  Call 410-250-5124, or 410-251-4360 with any questions.  Sorry for the short turn-around time.  They usually have the shirts at the Convention, if you'd like to wait until then to purchase one.  I'd recommend ordering to get what you want.

Thanks.  Jo Ann Elder”

Registration forms and schedule can be found here.
·        Friday, June 3 – Ravens Roost #44 14th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament.  Once again @ the Ocean Pines Country Club.  The registration fee is only $85 this year so sign up early.  Registration forms and Tee Sign Sponsorship forms are available here.
·        Saturday, June 4 – Let's not forget the convention parade!  We need to get a head count on how many women (yes, we'll ALL be women) will be able to march.  I have had a few sign up already but would like to hear from all of you.  Please give me your name, phone number and T-shirt size.  E-mail me at memmray@peoplepc.com or call at 302-539-4623 (this is my REAL number).  Thanks, Marie and parade committee.

Baltimore Ravens, let’s go
And put that ball across the line
So fly with talons spread wide
Go in and strike with Ravens pride
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Ravens dark wings take flight
Dive in and show them your might
For Baltimore and Maryland
You will fly on to victory
