Roost #44 Poop
·         From the Prez
Due to the second Thursday of February falling on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, the next meeting of the Roost has been rescheduled to THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7th AT 7:30 AT OC 360.

We had a great Transition Meeting with new Board and Officers on January 28 at the Original Greene Turtle.  A lot of enthusiasm from the new Board and Officers.  And thanks to all the outgoing Directors and Officers for your service to the Roost.  I would particularly like to thank Frank Berterman who served as Chairman of the Board for the last 3 years while continuing to put out the Poop and the CAW newsletters and never skipped a beat!  Again, thanks to Frank and ALL the other outgoing Board Members and Officers.  Please think about getting involved yourself with any of the many social and charitable activities of the Roost this year!  Look for a calendar of events and chairs of the various committees very soon.

The Annual Raven Convention and Parade will be coming up very soon - May 30-June 2 at the Castle in the Sand.  Jo Ann Elder is chair of the Convention Committee and Susan Berterman is chair of the Parade Committee.  See them if you would like to help out.  I will be picking up Convention materials at the next Council meeting February 15th and we will be getting more info out to the members as soon as we can!

Still looking for even more members to solicit contributions to The Scholarship Golf Tournament. Contact me at eric_waterman@comcast.net or Don McMullen at dmcmullent@aol.com for more information.  The initial mailings and solicitations have gone out and info is on our website and the Council website.

Funny Poop
·         Little Johnny is taking a shower with his mother and says, "Mom, what are those things on your chest!?"  Unsure of how to reply, she tells Johnny to ask his dad at breakfast tomorrow, quite certain the matter would be forgotten.

Johnny didn't forget.  The following morning, he asked his father the same question.  His father, always quick with the answers, says, "Why Johnny, those are balloons.  When your mommy dies, we can blow them up and she'll float to heaven."  Johnny thinks that's neat and asks no more questions.

A few weeks later, Johnny’s dad comes home from work a few hours early.  Johnny runs out of the house crying hysterically, "Daddy! Daddy! Mommy's dying!!"

His father says, "Calm down son!  Why do you think Mommy's dying?"

"Uncle Harry is blowing up Mommy’s balloons and she's screaming, "Oh God, I'm coming!"

·         A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes and said, "I would like to buy some cyanide."
The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?"
The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband."
The pharmacist's eyes got big and he exclaimed, "Lord have mercy!  I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband.  Absolutely not!  You CANNOT have any cyanide!"
The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.
The pharmacist looked at the picture and said, "You didn't tell me you had a prescription."

The other day I saw an amazing football game:
1) The player's hair fit under their helmets.
2) No tattoos could be seen.
3) There were no outlandish end zone celebrations.
4) There was no taunting.
5) Opposition players helped each other up after a play.
6) Footballs were not spiked or left for the referee to retrieve; they were handed to the referee.
7) No one took a knee on the sidelines.
9) Players stood at attention during the playing of the national anthem.
10) It's great to watch an Army - Navy football game.
