  • For more than three decades, Pat Benatar has been a rule-breaker and a trailblazer and remains a bold and distinctive artist both on stage and on record. The four-time Grammy winner is a classically trained mezzo-soprano and a bonafide rock ’n’ roll legend. In the 1980s, she had 19 Top 40 singles, including “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” and “Love Is a Battlefield.” Her husband, Neil Giraldo has been a professional musician, producer, arranger and songwriter for over 40 years and changed the face of the pop charts throughout the ’80s with Benatar. His catalog includes “Jessie’s Girl,” and “Don’t Fight It.” The duo hit the road every summer, thrilling audiences just as they always have.
In the nearly 30 years since Melissa Etheridge released her self-titled debut album, the singer-songwriter has collected many accolades, including two Grammys and an Oscar. She is known for her confessional lyrics and smoky vocals. With her latest album, “This is Me,” her 12th collection of new material, she is not alone as a songwriter. For the vibrant collection she teamed with some of the most creative, inventive figures, including Jerrod Bettis and Jon Levine. Recording the new album proved an inspiring experience for her and the resultant energy is clear in the songs. “I haven’t been this excited about making music and creating in ages,” Etheridge said. “Song after song was a great experience.”

You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold. But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. To be sure, this band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions. But its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt. Happily for us all, The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 50 years ago.
Few, if any, acts can match The Beach Boys’ concert presence, spirit and performance. They were center-stage at Live Aid, multiple Farm Aids, the Statue of Liberty’s 100th Anniversary Salute, the Super Bowl and the White House. On one day alone — July 4, 1985 — they played to nearly 2 million fans at shows in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Christian Love, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band. This tour will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
    $40 – $75, Assigned seating.
  • Friday - Locals Under the Lights, Freeman Stage. Audience members can sit back, relax and enjoy local artists performing on the same stage as national recording artists, such as The Band Perry, Huey Lewis and The News, Gladys Knight and The Wailers. • Since they formed about 20 years ago, the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies have made it their mission to veer from genre to genre, choosing to follow their own muse. Their ability to bend the boundaries has been tempered and informed by an adherence to a tradition grounded in Tin Pan Alley, swing music and the great American songbook. Cherry Poppin’ Daddies has always prided themselves on their craft and musicianship, superior skills that have allowed them to excel in whatever format they choose to tackle. “We see ourselves as coming from a Swing, Jazz and Tin Pan Alley tradition that is almost an extinct lineage in music,” said Steve Perry, the band’s longtime leader. “We aspire to be worthy of carrying the torch but we have always striven to create our own modern, iconoclastic version.”

Funny Poop
  • There's an Englishman, Irishman & Scotsman all talking about their teenage daughters...
The Englishman says " I was cleaning my daughter's room the other day & I found a packet of cigarettes. I was really shocked as I didn't even know she smokes".
The Scotsman says " That's nothing. I was cleaning my daughter's room the other day when I came across a half full bottle of Vodka. I was really shocked as I didn't even know she drank."
With that the Irishman says " Both of you have got nothing to worry about. I was cleaning my daughter's room the other day when I found packet of condoms. I was really shocked. I didn't even know she had a penis."
