See if you have what it takes to catch the winning white marlin and register today. Spectators are welcome to watch, as 300+ boats from Florida to New England take more than 1,500 of the world's best anglers out to pursue some of America's largest fish. Then check out the spectacular weigh-ins every evening from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Harbour Island Marina, 14th Street and the bay.

Registration fees for participating boats. Spectators see weigh-ins free of charge. For more information, call 410-289-9229 or contact@whitemarlinopen.com, or visit www.whitemarlinopen.com.

The White Marlin Open, the world’s largest offshore billfish tournament held annually in Ocean City, announces it will host Marlin Fest, a new free outdoor viewing experience at the 3rd Street Bayside Ballpark that will coincide with the 48th annual fishing tournament. The event, presented by HUK, will be held August 2 through August 6 and will feature a festival-like atmosphere as well as real-time, unobstructed views of the live stream of the tournament weigh-ins via large LED screens.

We’re excited to announce that we are expanding our satellite location this year and hosting our first Marlin Fest. This event will be held in addition to our traditional White Marlin Open tournament and Harbour Island weigh-in event,” Madelyne Rowan, Tournament Director. “We can assure the thousands who attend the White Marlin Open that they will continue to experience the first-class event that they have become accustomed to--whether it’s at Harbor Island or Marlin Fest at the Bayside Ballpark.”

A Free, Family-Friendly Viewing Experience, held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm each day, the event welcomes families to bring lawn chairs and blankets to spread out and enjoy live music and views of the anglers as they bring in their daily catches to nearby Harbour Island. Vendors will be onsite selling a variety of items including official Marlin Fest merchandise and White Marlin Open gear, as well as food and alcohol.

Our Marlin Fest viewing event will have a festival-like atmosphere with live entertainment and live streaming of the weigh-ins on a massive screen with the beautiful Assawoman Bay as the backdrop,” shared Sasha Motsko, Tournament Director. “Families will have ample room to spread out, relax, and cheer on the boats as they head to Harbour Island.”

Marlin Fest is a free event, no ticket or registration is needed. Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are available—for more information contact kelly@whitemarlinopen.com. To register to participate in the White Marlin Open tournament, visit https://whitemarlinopen.com/.

Funny Poop

  • A couple had not been married for long, when the husband came home one day to find that his bride had disappeared. He got very worried and gathered up all his friends to search for his wife with no success.

Two days after his wife disappeared the man returned home to find her in the kitchen. He asked her what she had been up to and why she hadn't been home for so long.

She replied, "These four men kidnapped me and had wild sex with me for a week."

The husband answered, "But it's only been two days what do you mean a week?"

"I am just here to get something to eat."

  • Got Poop? Let me know! I’m going to try to get this out every Wednesday so if you get it to me by Tuesday, I’ll try to include it. Your input is appreciated.

  • Life is short. Focus on the good.

Baltimore Ravens, let’s go

And put that ball across the line

So, fly with talons spread wide

Go in and strike with Ravens pride

Fight! Fight! Fight!

Ravens dark wings take flight

Dive in and show them your might

For Baltimore and Maryland

You will fly on to victory
