Weekly Poop 3/13/13

Roost #44 Poop
  • Dates to Remember:
    • Friday – Water Conservation Group Meeting @ …
    • Saturday – Don't forget about the St. Patty's Day Parade! We meet at Beach Copy Center (thanks once again to Debbie and George!) on 59th Street, O.C. and you should try to be there by 10:00 (before they start closing streets off) for the parade at 12:00. We continue to need members to march in the parade. Clothing is black pants (of any sort), Ravens Roost Jersey's or Ravens Player Jersey's; There are some marching that do not have either so if anyone is willing to loan us jersey's, we can label them on the inside with removable tape and make sure they are returned. We suggest wearing a long sleeve shirt under the jersey, black, white, or green. Hats of the Irish nature are requested and we will have head gear available for those that may not have a favorite hat. Please consider joining us for the parade and enjoy a busy day at your local bars and restaurants in Ocean City. Remember, no parking is available @ Beach Copy. Park down near the end of the parade and walk back – that way, your vehicle will be close by when we finish!

  • Roost Apparel: RAVENS ROOST #44 COMMEMORATIVE SUPER BOWL XLVII HOODIES & TEE SHIRTS. Ravens Roost #44 Super Bowl XLVII commemorative hoodies and tee shirts are now available for order. Hoodies are priced at $20.00, long-sleeve tee shirts at $10.00 and short-sleeve tee shirts at $8.00. Colors are purple and ash (light gray). Bill Regan, the owner of Red Sun Custom Apparel and long-time Roost member, is providing Roost members these fantastic prices to make it affordable for everyone. We need to order a minimum of 72 pieces (with approx. 200 members in our Roost this shouldn’t be a problem) for me to place the order. Please email Mike at montegomike@verizon.net with your choices, colors and sizes.
  • Once again this year Bill and Lilly Cordwell will be walking in the M.S.Walk on April 13 on the "new boardwalk" in Ocean City. Anyone who would like to walk with them or pledge please go to the website www.walkMSmaryland.org and sign up under "TEAM LILLY". This is the same date as our dance so it will be a full day but well worth it.

Ravens Poop
  • Good news notes and nuggets from Sarah Ellison’s Blog here. It’s getting to the point where I can hardly stand ESPN, but I do go Jamison Hensley’s Blog here to stay up to date with all of the AFC North news.
  • All the best news notes and nuggets at Britt's Bird Watch here.
  • Traffic at a standstill on the Bay Bridge as bandwagon fans jump off. Details at 11.
Local Poop
  • Saturday - St. Patrick's Day Parade 2013. Much anticipated Ocean City event! Everyone loves to be Irish at Ocean City's famous parade. Marching units, floats, local celebrities. Parade begins at noon and travels Coastal Hwy. from 59th Street south to 45th. At the 45th Street shopping area, a fun festival with food, drink and merriment begins at 11 a.m.

Funny Poop
  • My god! What happened to you?" the bartender asked Kelly as he hobbled in on a crutch, one arm in a cast.
"I got in a tiff with Riley."
"Riley? He's just a wee fellow," the barkeep said surprised. "He must have had something in his hand."
"That he did," Kelly said. "A shovel it was."
"Dear Lord. Didn't you have anything in your hand?"
"Aye, that I did--Mrs. Riley's left breast." Kelly said. "And a beautiful thing it was, but not much use in a fight!"

Baltimore Ravens, let’s go
And put that ball across the line
So fly with talons spread wide
Go in and strike with Ravens pride
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Ravens dark wings take flight
Dive in and show them your might
For Baltimore and Maryland
You will fly on to victory
