Local Poop

      • This week (late May 2026, around Memorial Day weekend) in Ocean City, MD, is kicking off the summer season with beach crowds, events, and warm weather.

Major Highlight: Ocean City Jeep Week (May 28–31)

Jeep enthusiasts are gathering for parades on the sand, beach obstacle courses, vendors, a Jeep Jam, show-n-shine, and more at the Inlet Parking Lot and nearby areas. Spectators are generally free to watch many activities. It's a big draw for vehicle fans and families.

Other Notable Events

  • Baltimore Ravens Roosts Annual Parade (May 30) — At 19th Street & Baltimore Avenue. Football fans can enjoy Ravens-themed celebrations.

  • Godspell (May 29–30) — A production by the Lower Shore Performing Arts Company. Great for theater fans.

  • Ocean City Ghost Tours — Recurring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (including this week). Evening walking tours with Chesapeake Ghost Walks.

  • Karaoke Fridays with DJ Donnie (May 29) — At Residence Inn - Marriott.

  • Ripley's new gallery opening (May 27) — "Ripley's Waterbird: Oceanside Outlet" celebration.

Live music, DJs, and parties are happening at spots like Seacrets throughout the week (check their calendar for daily lineups).

Memorial Day itself (May 25) has already passed, but the weekend vibe continues with parades, beach activities, and town-wide energy.

General Vibe & Activities

  • Beaches & Boardwalk — Expect busy but classic Ocean City summer energy: swimming, sunbathing, biking, and people-watching. Free public beaches.

  • Weather — Typical late May: highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s°F, with possible showers or thunderstorms (especially around Memorial Day). Pack layers and rain gear.

  • Other ongoing fun — Sundaes in the Park concerts (Sundays), boardwalk eats, mini-golf, arcades, and fishing.

For the most up-to-date details, check the official sites:

Traffic and parking can get tight during Jeep Week and holiday weekends, so plan ahead. Enjoy your time in OC! 🌊

Funny Poop

A couple and their young son take a vacation to a nude beach. As the boy walks around, he notices some women have breasts much larger than his mother's and asks her about it.

His mother replies: "The bigger they are, the dumber the person is."

The boy happily goes back to the water, but soon returns and says, "Mommy, some of the men have things way bigger than Daddy's!"

His mother quickly responds: "The bigger they are, the dumber the person is."

Satisfied, the boy heads back to play. A few minutes later, he runs back to his mother and says, "Mommy, Daddy is talking to the dumbest lady on the beach, and the longer he talks to her, the dumber he gets!"

Convention:

Parade:

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Saturday, March 14, beginning 12pm @ 60th Street. As is our tradition, we will meet prior to the parade at the parking lot at Beach Copy on 59th Street bayside. Tailgating begins 10am - BYOB. Members, you can bring your family and friends to march as well – the more the merrier!

This is a parade that is all about fun – no competition – We’re not worried about winning any prizes. We have music and stuff to throw to the folks lining the parade route. Wear something festive – we have our purple vests to wear over top so we look somewhat together.

The parade runs from 60th Street to 45th Street, so it’s best to park somewhere close to the end of the parade route so you’re close to your vehicle when we finish.

Afterwards, we plan to meet at the Tavern on Rt. 54 in Selbyville. All marchers are welcome. The Roost will provide food for everyone who marched. The Tavern has reasonable prices for drinks to purchase.

A sign up sheet will be available at the February meeting. I’d like to have as many people sign up in February because I will not be at the March meeting.

Apparel:

The on-line store is currently closed and will reopen in February with March shipping.

Funny Poop

A gang of robbers broke into a lawyer's club by mistake. The old legal lions gave them a fight for their life and their money. The gang was very happy to escape.

"It ain't so bad," one crook noted. "We got $25 between us."

The boss screamed: "We had $100 when we broke in!"
