Weekly Poop 6/14/17

Roost #44 Poop
  • From the Prez - We had a great meeting at the OC360 restaurant on June 8th where we presented checks to the winners of this year's college scholarships. Congratulations and thanks to Co-Chairmen Marc Grimes and Don McMullen and the Scholarship Committee for all their hard work that makes this such an annual success. The next Roost meeting will again be held at OC360 on July 13th at 7:30.
Some members may not be familiar with the Council of Baltimore Raven Roosts and our role as a member of the Council. I will be attending the monthly meeting of the Council on Friday, June 16th in Catonsville. The Council meets at the Catonsville Knights of Columbus the third Thursday of every month. The Council dates back to the Council of Colt Corrals which began in 1957.
The Colt Corrals and Colt Marching Band stayed in place through those dark years of not having an NFL team. They cheered on the USFL Baltimore Stars and the CFL Baltimore Stallions. When the Ravens arrived, the Colt Corrals began the transition to Raven Roosts. The Council is the sponsor of the Annual Convention and Parade right here in Ocean City. In the 53 years of cheering on Baltimore Football, the Corrals and Roosts have donated over $3.5 million in cash donations and countless volunteer hours. Roost #44 is a key part of these donations through our Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, the Penguin Swim and many other voluntary contributions to local charities throughout the year.
Currently, there are 69 Roosts across Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania. For more information on the Council, Google ‘Council of Raven Roosts’ or go directly to their site at councilrr.com. Hope to see you at the Annual Picnic on July 9th.

Funny Poop
  • A fellow comes to confession. "Father," he said, "forgive me for I have sinned."
The priest asked, "What did you do, my son?"
    "I lusted," the fellow replied.
"Tell me about it," the priest said.
The fellow then related his story. "Father, I am a delivery man for UPS. Yesterday I was making a delivery in the affluent section of the city. When I rang the bell, the door opened and there stood the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She had long blonde hair and eyes like emeralds. She was dressed in a sheer dressing gown that showed her perfect figure. And, she asked if I would like to come in."
"And, what did you do, my son?" asked the priest.
"Father, I did not go in the house but I lusted. Oh, how I lusted," replied the man.
"Your sin has been forgiven," replied the priest. "You will get your reward in heaven, my son."
"A reward, father? What do you think my reward might be?" the fellow asked.
The priest replied, "I think a bale of hay would be appropriate, you jackass."
