The March Roost meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 10th will be moved to Wednesday, March 9^th due to a scheduling conflict at the American Legion.  Hope to see you there!

 

Save the date: The Roost Summer Picnic will be on Sunday, July 17.  Details soon!

Scholarship Golf: 25th Annual Ravens Roost #44 Scholarship Golf Tournament! 

·        When: June 3, 2022

·        Where: Ocean Pines Golf Club-Ocean Pines

·        Time: 9:00am shotgun tournament start

·        Events: Golf, putting Contest, 50-50, luncheon, silent auction, awards

·        Needed: Golf Chair person, volunteers, Major sponsors, Tee sponsors, gift cards/certificates from businesses, golfers

Parade:

The 2022 Ocean City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on and scheduled for March 12.  This is a parade to have fun – no worries about competition, just a good time.  We will still be able to tailgate prior to the parade at Beach Copy on 59^th Street as we have in years past.  As always, NO PARKING IS AVAULABLE AT BEACH COPY (It is open for business!).  Best advice is to park somewhere close to the parade end (45^th Street) and then walk back to Beach Copy  Then, once the parade is over, you’ll be close to your parked vehicle!  Neat, huh?

 

The parade runs from Route 90 to the 45^th Street Village.  We will wear some purple vests we have from previous parades, so maybe wear something green beneath.

 

No party afterward as previous years, but there’s nothing stopping us from bar hopping the rest of the day.

Good of the Roost:

Whomever is interested, we will meet at the Greene Turtle midtown OC for lunch, then if anyone’s interested, we can see a movie at Sun n Surf after lunch.  Movies are $6 every Tuesday.  Text Donna @ 410.627.7697.  Let’s have some fun and get to know each other!

·        It was a stifling hot day and a man fainted in the middle of a busy intersection.

Traffic quickly piled up in all directions, so a woman rushed to help him.

When she knelt down to loosen his collar, a man emerged from the crowd, pushed her aside, and said, "It's all right honey, I've had a course in first aid."

The woman stood up and watched as he took the ill man's pulse and prepared to administer artificial respiration.

At this point she tapped him on the shoulder and said, "When you get to the part about calling a doctor, I'm already here."
