Greetings to all..

 

Our next meeting will be tomorrow November 10th at the American Legion in Ocean City..meeting starts at 7:30, but come early for food and drink..kitchen closes at 8:00

 

Please notify Kim Eder, Donna Chaplinski or Carol/Bob Munroe that you will be attending the Holiday/Christmas party this year..we must know by TOMORROW..come to the meeting and all questions will be addressed…please read Kim’s Entertainment Report on the party..

 

Michele Sardelis is our Nominating committee chairperson, but she unfortunately can’t make the meeting..soooo I will choose a lucky person who will do the honors of nominating names for the position of President and Vice President..if you would like to throw your name into ring please let Michele know…

 

Seems like Ravens are playing better hopefully each game from here they can put together a nice run..as always please read Steve Szlasa’s report..

Entertainment:

·       Christmas Party: Christmas Party is Saturday December 17th from 6-9pm at Mios [same place as last year on 54].  The Christmas Party registration form is attached.  The member cost will be decided at the November meeting; it will not exceed $53.00 per person.  The information for the Christmas party will be fully discussed at the November meeting.

 

If you are interested in attending the Christmas party and have not signed up, please text/call Kim at (410) 726-0569 ASAP.

 

The attached form and payment MUST be turned in no later than Tuesday, November 22nd.  Forms will be available at the November meeting or can be printed and mailed with payment (checks made to Roost 44) to Donna Chaplinski 38329 Maple Lane Selbyville, DE 19975.

 

House:

Just a reminder (and for anyone who does not know) that our permanent meeting host American Legion Post 166 has invited our Roost and friends to attend every Sunday afternoon Raven's game in our meeting room with the big screen and reserved seating up front.  Game fare specials are available at a served food bar that varies weekly along with their regular kitchen menu items delivered to your table.  The bar is open just like our meetings.  Hard to get better seats than this!

·       The Shrimp Boat Penguin Swim Appreciation Weekend is Nov. 11 & 12.  ALL proceeds go to the RR44 Penguin Swim Team in support of Atlantic General Hospital!!  $12/lb of Shrimp or 5lb for $50, eat in or takeout.  Full menu is available.  There will also be a bake table with a donation bucket.  WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF BAKED GOODS!!!  Cup cakes, cookies, small baked items, are all needed.  Please contact Gary for details.

Nominations:

    Hello Raven Roost Members It is time for Nominations!  We need YOU!  Get Involved!

We are accepting nominations for President and Vice President.  Do you know someone that would be a great for the Roost in these exciting roles?  Please email me your nominations by Tuesday November 8.  (michele.brill@aol.com).  We will also be looking for nominations at the Thursday November 10 and Thursday December 6 Ravens Roost meeting.  Come on and join the fun Being the Prez or VP!

 

Any member in good standing is eligible as candidate for office, provided he/she has been a member of the Roost for at least four (4) months prior to nominations and their dues paid to date.

 

The process:

o   Collect nominations thru December meeting.

o   The list of candidates will be read at the December meeting.

o   Secret ballot voting will be conducted at the January meeting.

o   Elected officers will be announced at the February meeting.

 

Ticket Exchange:

·       I am interested in selling my 2 PSL’s and the season tickets that go with them, hopefully to a Roost member.  Seats are in Section 148, row 32, seats 21 & 22.  Ticket costs are face value (total $3380); PSL’s are negotiable.  They are good seats with good “neighbors”.  My phone numbers are:
