DO NOT bring plastic bags for Diakonia to the April 13th Roost meeting. Eric won't be there to collect them.

Public ticket sales for the Freeman Stage are now on sale. There is a new ticket website this year and would strongly suggest going to freemanstage.org to familiarize oneself with the 2017 FAQ's. Procedure's are somewhat different than in the past. Also, Justin Tucker will be appearing at the Stage on Sunday June 18. It will be a good time to break out the Raven's wear.

Road Trip 2017 – The Ravens game in London will be well represented by RR44. There are 24 people going on some combination of 3 trip options, plus a couple more who have made their own travel arrangements but will be at the game with us. If anyone is still interested, we MAY be able to add a few to the package and the price will probably be higher, but let me know ASAP.Now that we have the London trip together, I am starting work on a possible trip to Nashville. I need to get a good idea of how many members are interested in going, so please let me know by email and I will have a sign up sheet at the Feb. meeting. I am looking at two options and will let the group decide which one they prefer after we have all the details.1) I will order the game tickets, reserve a block of rooms as we have done in the past, letting everyone call to make their own reservations and book their own airfare. There are a number of hotels right downtown that are convenient for walking to the stadium, restaurants, bars and entertainment areas. Downtown Nashville is very easy to navigate by foot and their are plenty of cabs if you need them.2) I will get Fandeavor to give us a price on a trip that will include airfare, hotel, game ticket and transportation to and from the airport.I have looked at several hotel options and have looked at gameday ticket prices, but cant really get a hard number till the date come out in April. Will have details at the April meeting.Hopefully we will have more to cheer about this season. Thanks, Gary.

Convention Parade: Our parade entry this year is going to be a great one. We can't reveal the theme on the internet because of prying eyes--it's a secret! Take our word for it - it's a good one and will generate a lot of attention. If you are interested in walking in the parade, please contact Mary Kendall at mary.kendall@merck.com as soon as possible so we can get the costumes together. We'll tell you all about it at the next meeting, but, again, need your names ASAP. If you have any questions, contact Mary or Jo Ann Elder at jedler10@verizon.net.

Friday May 12, 2017: We are taking a bus trip to visit 3 local breweries for beer tasting! We will leave the parking lot at Rose’s on 113 at 12 noon and travel to 16 Mile Brewery in Georgetown DE for a tour of the brewery and beer tasting; then to 3rd Wave Brewery in Delmar where we’ll enjoy beer flights for $3.50 (that’s 1/2 price of usual) and a food truck will be present if you are hungry; then off to Tall Tales in Parsonsburg, MD for more beer tasting and food. We should be back to the Rose’s parking lot by 6pm. Cost for the trip is $30.00 if we fill the bus - this includes the bus trip only. A tip for the driver will be collected on the bus. If we have less than 23 people, the cost per person will increase. Food and beverages at the breweries are on you. This is a small bus so there is no bathroom on the bus - but the breweries all have facilities and are less than 45 minutes apart. The trip is limited to 23 people so don’t miss out, sign up soon. If we have more than 23 people, you’ll be put on a waiting list and filled in if there are drop outs. Payment will be due by the April 13 meeting.
