Weekly Poop 10/11/17

Roost #44 Poop
  • From the PrezThe Council of Raven Roosts has sent a draft statement for consideration for all member Roosts. This is VOLUNTARY for all Roosts to consider. At the October 19th meeting, the membership will vote on posting this statement as the position of Roost #44 or not to post it and take no position. Draft Statement: We are a fan club of of the Baltimore Ravens. We use this organization as a forum and a conduit to reach a variety of people and organizations. Our main purpose is to raise money and give to charities in our communities. We are damn good at what we do and we have a lot of fun doing it. We should not lose track of this objective. We may agree or disagree with the current state of the NFL but our responsibility lies with our charities and the work we do for them.
At the last Roost meeting on September 14, we reported on a meeting between the House Committee and Steve Pappas, the owner of the Greene Turtle. Roost #44 and Steve agreed that the upstairs of the Greene Turtle is no longer conducive for Roost meetings for a variety of reasons.
However, Roost #44 is still a strong supporter of the Greene Turtle and we are not cutting our ties to the Greene Turtle. We still continue to strongly support the Greene Turtle, the Raven Rap show and we encourage Roost members to watch the Raven games there. In addition, we encourage all Roost members to take advantage of the 20% discount for food and beverage at the Green Turtle (displayed on the back of your membership card).
The House Committee and Board will announce the new meeting location at the October 19 Roost meeting after investigating several alternative sites.
2017- The 20th Anniversary of Roost #44: As mentioned previously, 2017 marks the 20th Anniversary of Roost #44, which began meeting in 1998 under President Buddy Miller. To mark this anniversary, Treasurer Sandy Taras is updating an annual summary of the major activities and trips of the Roost which was last printed in 2004.
The 20th Anniversary shirts are ready for order!
T Shirts $6.00; Long Sleeve T Shirts $8.25; Hoodie Zip Up $21.00; Pull Over Hoodie $22.00. Contact Eric for pricing on sizes 2X or larger. Colors Purple, Black and Gray. If you ordered 20th Anniversary T shirts, long sleeve shirts, or hoodies at last meeting, send your checks to: Ravens Roost #44 (MAKE CHECKS TO RAVEN ROOST # 44) Eric Waterman, 311 S. Ocean Drive, Ocean City, MD 21842.
Or you can pay by check at the next meeting on October 19. If you haven't ordered or if you want to increase your order, you can do that at the October meeting. The initial demand was way beyond expectations, but there is time to still order or increase your order for the T Shirts, Long Sleeve Shirts and Hoodies. Any questions, email me at eric_waterman@comcast.net or call 410-598 -4597. No more orders will be taken after October 19th meeting!
The next meeting of the Roost will be held on October 19 at the Original Greene Turtle due to a majority of Board members not being able to attend on the 12th.

Please let me know your arrival plans so I can pick a time convenient for the majority. Location will be in or near the Union Station Hotel on Broadway. There are several bars in the area so a couple of options depending on capacity to handle our group. If anyone NOT going on the trip would like one, I need to get their order by Monday. They can email or call me at; garywm@mchsi.com. 443-618-9972.
LONDON ROAD TRIP: I think everyone had a great time except for the game! Lots of pictures have been posted on FB and I am sure several will be included in the Roost scrapbook and 20th Anniversary book. Several good stories to be told after a few drinks have been consumed by a couple participants. For those that were part of the trip, please let me know if you want to plan a get-together to share photos and stories!

Funny Poop
  • Doctor, the embarrassed man said, "I have a sexual problem. I can't get it up for my wife anymore."
"Mr. Thomas, bring her back with you tomorrow and let me see what I can do." So, the worried fellow returned with his wife the following pad.
The doctor greeted the coupled and then said, "Please remove your clothes, Mrs. Thomas." The woman obliged and removed her clothing.
"Okay, now turn all the way around...Now, lie down please...Uh-huh, I see. Alright, you can put your clothes back on." While the woman was busy dressing herself again, the doctor took the husband aside.
"You're in perfect health," he said to the man. "Your wife didn't give me an erection either."
  • A priest and a rabbi were sitting in adjacent seats on an airplane. After a while the priest turned to the rabbi and asked, “Is it still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?”
The rabbi responded, “Yes, that is still one of our laws.”
The priest then asked, “Have you ever eaten pork?”
Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and ate a bacon sandwich.”
The priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading. A while later the rabbi spoke up and asked, “Father, is it still a requirement of your church that you remain celibate?”
The priest replied, “Yes, that is still very much a part of our faith.”
The rabbi then asked him, “Father, have you ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh?”
The priest replied, “Yes, Rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke the pledge of my faith.”
The rabbi nodded understandingly and remained silent for several minutes. Finally the rabbi quietly observed, “Beats the shit out of a bacon sandwich doesn’t it?”
