·        Wellness: Please contact Carol Munroe at carol.munroe@hotmail.com if you know of a Roost member in need of a message of encouragement or a sympathy card for a family member.

·        Entertainment:

o   Saturday October 2nd Kent Island pub crawl.  We would like to reserve a bus, need 20 people minimum.  Need to know as soon as possible who is interested in going.  Details about price and times will be finalized once we have a count.  If interested contact Kim Eder no later than Saturday 9/25 @ 410 726-0569 or ksimseder@gmail.com.

o   Road Trip: The Road Trip is sold out and as of now, everything looks good for the trip to proceed.  As we have all learned this past year however, things can change depending on how the COVID-19 issues develop.  For those that are going on the trip, be sure to bring a couple masks.  The stadium, hotel, and other public places may require them.  If there is any change to the plans, I will let everyone know.

o   Christmas Party 12/18/21: No money is to be paid at this time!  We have assurance that Mio Fratello is capable of meeting all the conditions we desire but the cost has not been finalized.  If the member cost ends up more than last years $40, you may remove your name from the list if you desire.

If you did not complete the forms at the meeting you will need to mail them to Donna as stated on the form or bring them to the October meeting.  Please remember to make ALL the choices including steak temperature and your desired seating group.  Anyone who turned in a previous form, must also complete a new one.  If you do not attend the meeting you should download the form from the Poop attachment and get that to Donna or Ron as required.

There are currently 77 current and potential members signed up to attend.  If we need to have a cutoff due to whatever reason it will be as of the end of the Sept. meeting.  If that happens, the only exceptions will be for the members voted in at that meeting who have not yet signed up.  Obviously, this is because they are not allowed to attend that meeting.

·        Penguin Swim Team:

o   Thanks to everyone for your patience on the delays with this years Booze Cruise.  The majority of responses I received from the previous email have said that Thursday 9/30 is the best date for most participants.  The same bars will be open and I think that parking around MR Ducks should be ok for our event.

Please confirm with me that you can attend.  If that date is not possible for you, let me know if you want a refund or to donate your fee to the Penguin Swim.  If you want a refund, I can either tear up your check, or if you paid cash, mail you a check.   If you choose that option, be sure to give me your address.

I look forward to hearing from everyone.  Lets all hope that "the third time is the charm"!

Thanks, Gary.  443-618-9972

Funny Poop

·        In memory of Norm Macdonald

A moth goes into a podiatrist’s office, and the podiatrist says, “What seems to be the problem, moth?”

The moth says “What’s the problem?  Where do I begin, man?  I go to work for Gregory Illinivich, and all day long I work.  Honestly doc, I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore.  I don’t even know if Gregory Illinivich knows.  He only knows that he has power over me, and that seems to bring him happiness.

But I don’t know, I wake up in a malaise, and I walk here and thereat night II sometimes wake up and I turn to some old lady in my bed that’s on my arm.  A lady that I once loved, doc.  I don’t know where to turn to.  My youngest, Alexendria, she fell in thein the cold of last year.  The cold took her down, as it did many of us.

And my other boy, and this is the hardest pill to swallow, doc.  My other boy, Gregarro IvinalititavitchI no longer love him.  As much as it pains me to say, when I look in his eyes, all I see is the same cowardice that Ithat I catch when I take a glimpse of my own face in the mirror.  If only I wasn’t such a coward, then perhapsperhaps I could bring myself to reach over to that cocked and loaded gun that lays on the bedside behind me and end this hellish facade once and for all.

Doc, sometimes I feel like a spider, even though I’m a moth, just barely hanging on to my web with an everlasting fire underneath me.  I’m not feeling good.

And so the doctor says, “Moth, man, you’re troubled.  But you should be seeing a psychiatrist.  Why on earth did you come here?”

And the moth says, “’Cause the light was on.”

Baltimore Ravens, let’s go

And put that ball across the line

So, fly with talons spread wide

Go in and strike with Ravens pride

Fight! Fight! Fight!

Ravens dark wings take flight

Dive in and show them your might

For Baltimore and Maryland

You will fly on to victory
