Just a heads up that the Council convention starts tomorrow May 28th - May 31st for those who signed up enjoy the festivities and the hospitality suite…

I attended the Ravens Council meeting and the by law changes will be voted on at next month’s meeting…I will also let you all know the update on the Council’s full page ad in the Ravens 2026 yearbook..

I’m working with Ravens Roost #141 on attending the Delmarva Shorebirds game together on July 30th..please sign up if you’re planning to attend..it will be a fun times socializing with other Roost members..

Thanks for making us one of the largest Roosts in the Council! We currently have 86 paid members.

Convention:

Thanks to all that have registered and paid for the convention. It should be a great time – let’s hope for good weather! We have plenty of food for the hospitality room and thanks to all that donated to the Bingo Basket!

Parade:

If you are not attending the convention, you can still come down to Baltimore Avenue on Saturday, May 30 and cheer us on. Parade starts 10am.

Apparel:

The Roost Online Store is open through the end of May with deliveries in June.

Entertainment:

Things being considered for future are a Bull Roast and a fall dance. These would be Roost fundraisers and open to family and friends.
Theresa is working on a Seacrets Distillery Tour, possibly early June.
Summer Picnic July 11th from 12 to 4 at the East Sussex Moose. Picnic food provided, 2 drink tickets per member. Price to be determined.
We had a request from Panthers about group tickets for game. Working on a trip.
Shorebirds game July 30. Hoodie giveaway. We need 30 to make it happen. Only 10 signed up so far.
Duckaneer Pirate ship is set for Aug 27th 6 to 8pm. Price will depend on how many people we can get. We have 29 signed up so far.
Looking at dates for raft ups.
Christmas party at Aloft on Sunday Dec 13th 12:30 to 5. 1pm game against the Tampa Bay Bucs on the big screen. Heavy finger foods, cash bar.
Entertainment mtgs will be at 6:30 before every monthly Roost mtg. Please consider joining so we can plan more fun things to do in the coming year.

House:

Our permanent meeting host is the American Legion Post 166 located at Coastal Hwy and 23^rd Street. At the request of the Legion, meetings will now be on the first Tuesday of each month.

Roost members please enter through the handicap door on the 23^rd street north side.

Be sure to sign in at the table at the door.

The general membership meeting starts promptly at 7:30. There may be some committee

meetings going on before that. However, members are invited and encouraged to arrive as

early as 6:00 to enjoy drinks and food specials The Post kitchen stays open until 7:30 on

our meeting nights to accommodate us. This is a great time to enjoy the facility and engage

with other members. The Post accepts cash only.

This week (late May 2026, around Memorial Day weekend) in Ocean City, MD, is kicking off the summer season with beach crowds, events, and warm weather.

Major Highlight: Ocean City Jeep Week (May 28–31)

Jeep enthusiasts are gathering for parades on the sand, beach obstacle courses, vendors, a Jeep Jam, show-n-shine, and more at the Inlet Parking Lot and nearby areas. Spectators are generally free to watch many activities. It's a big draw for vehicle fans and families.

Other Notable Events

Baltimore Ravens Roosts Annual Parade (May 30) — At 19th Street & Baltimore Avenue. Football fans can enjoy Ravens-themed celebrations.
Godspell (May 29–30) — A production by the Lower Shore Performing Arts Company. Great for theater fans.
Ocean City Ghost Tours — Recurring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (including this week). Evening walking tours with Chesapeake Ghost Walks.
Karaoke Fridays with DJ Donnie (May 29) — At Residence Inn - Marriott.

Other ongoing fun — Sundaes in the Park concerts (Sundays), boardwalk eats, mini-golf, arcades, and fishing.

Funny Poop

A couple and their young son take a vacation to a nude beach. As the boy walks around, he notices some women have breasts much larger than his mother's and asks her about it.

His mother replies: "The bigger they are, the dumber the person is."

The boy happily goes back to the water, but soon returns and says, "Mommy, some of the men have things way bigger than Daddy's!"

His mother quickly responds: "The bigger they are, the dumber the person is."

Satisfied, the boy heads back to play. A few minutes later, he runs back to his mother and says, "Mommy, Daddy is talking to the dumbest lady on the beach, and the longer he talks to her, the dumber he gets!"
