Please go to the MSWALK2014 website and sign up to join "TEAM LILLY" or to donate if you cannot walk. Registration is at 9 am and the walk begins at 10 am. Thanks, Bill Cordwell
  • Thursday, May 15 - Ravens Roost 44 Scholarship is having a fundraiser to be held at "5-Guys" in the White Marlin Mall in West OC on Thursday 5/15 from 4-7 pm.  20% of all sales during that time will be donated to the Ravens Roost 44 Scholarship Fund.  Please note that the flyer/"voucher" must be presented to the cashier when placing your order in order for the 20% to be counted (get one HERE).  EVERYONE is welcome to attend!  Friends, neighbors, family and basically anyone you think might come.  We are encouraging the 3 local schools who's students benefit from our scholarships to participate in this fundraising by distributing the vouchers to their students and faculty.  If you belong to any other clubs or organizations, please provide vouchers to those members.  Additional flyers will be available at the May meeting or you can print your own.  If anyone is interested, we can meet afterwards for a drink at the West O' Bottle Shop which is just around the corner.
  • Saturday, May 17 - Happy Hour/Mini Dance at Blue Ox on from 4-7 pm.  Booze & drinks on your own.  Music and fun!
  • Friday, May 30 - Ravens Roost #44 17th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament @ Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club.  Registration forms can be had here.  We are expecting another sell out, so be sure to sign up early - don’t get shut out as some did last year.
  • May 29 thru June 1 - The Council of Ravens Roosts Annual Convention.  From Jo Ann: The Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts Convention begins Thursday, May 29, and ends Sunday, June 1, at the Castle in the Sand Motel.  The theme this year is “Celebrating 50 Years of Fan-Tastic Baltimore Football.   The cost this year is $60 per registrant.  A registration form is available here.  The Convention agenda is available here.
Commemorative shirts are also available:  hoodies (men's sizes only) in gray or purple; men's t-shirts and tanks, and women’s t-shirts and tanks, available in white, gray or purple.  Prices range from $11.00 for t-shirts and tanks to $20 for the hoodies.  Larger sizes (2, 3, 4, & 5 XL) are an additional $2 or more.
In years past there were team events that any registered participant could enter, such as horseshoes, volleyball, tug-of-war, a scavenger hunt, bingo, miniature golf, and karaoke.  All of the registration forms were to be submitted to me by the April 10 meeting.  You can still register, but you will not get the "goodie bag".  Make checks payable to Ravens Roost 44, and give to me at the meeting, or mail to 126 Pine Tree Rd., Ocean City, MD 21842.  Please remember:  Everyone who attends must be registered.  There is no “sharing” of food and beverage.
I encourage our new members, as well as the members who have been in the Roost for a while, to attend the Convention.  It is a great way to spend some time with our own Roost members and to meet fans from other Roosts.  And, it’s always a lot of fun.
Any questions, please call me at 410-251-4360 or e-mail me at jelder10@verizon.net.

Funny Poop
  • Two dwarfs go into a bar, where they pick up two prostitutes and take them to their separate hotel rooms. The first dwarf, however, is unable to get an erection. His depression is made worse by the fact that, from the next room, he hears his little friend shouting out cries of "Here I come again ...ONE, TWO, THREE...UUH!" all night long. In the morning, the second dwarf asks the first, "How did it go?"  The first mutters, "It was so embarrassing. I simply couldn't get a hard on." The second dwarf shook his head. "You think that's embarrassing?" "I couldn't even get on the f...ing bed!!!"

 Baltimore Ravens, let’s go
And put that ball across the line
So fly with talons spread wide
Go in and strike with Ravens pride
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Ravens dark wings take flight
Dive in and show them your might
For Baltimore and Maryland
You will fly on to victory
