  • Tonight - Ravens Rap!  Join Mike Bradley and the gang at the Blue Ox for another year of talkin' all things Ravens!  The show starts @ 7 pm. 
  • Friday – WCS Meeting  
  • Saturday - SMITH ISLAND/CRISFIELD TRIP - The Smith Island trip has been reserved for 29 people on Sat. Oct. 4th. They know that the number may go up or down a little on trip day.  Payment is requested in advance so we can be assured of getting the discounted price. The cost is $22 pp & can be paid in cash or check (payable to Ron Apperson) at the Roost meeting on Sep. 18th. Give all payments to JoAnn Elder or mail checks only to Ron Apperson at 37899 Swann Drive,   Selbyville, De. 19975.  Some car pools have already been arranged. Check the signup sheet for remaining volunteer drivers.  There will also be a data sheet available at the meeting.  We will meet in Crisfield at 11:30 am in front of Capt. Tyler's Motel, 701 W. Main St. (rt. 413)  where we will get a head count so Ron can purchase & distribute all the tickets (their rule). The boat leaves from Somer's Cove Marina at 12:30 pm & gets back to Crisfield about 4:30 pm.  Departure from the island TBA.  Arrivals after the group tickets are purchased may have to buy $26 tickets.  If advance payment was made, they will get that back from Ron.

  • Saturday, October 25 - RR44 Crab Feast, 2-5 pm at the Shrimp Boat Restaurant in West OC.  $35 per person.  More details to follow. 
  • Saturday, 11/1 - Beer/Wine Tasting & Jewelry Show to benefit AGH, 2 to 4 pm.  Join us for a wine & beer tasting and Jewelry Show hosted by Costa Ventosa Vineyard and Winery in Whaleyville, Md. (www.costaventosa.com).  In addition, Glitter & Gold Jewelry will be offering a selection of jewelry items at reduced prices just in time for your Holiday shopping.  Cost is $20/pp and includes EITHER a taste of 9 different wines OR 3 different beers, a souvenir wine glass and light snacks.  Bottles, cases or individual glasses of wine and glasses of beer will be available for purchase.

  • Tomorrow - Brews for Boobs, various locations.  Brews for Boobs will be holding its weekly Thursday night fundraising events – an eight-week stretch of events to be exact – at each of the local breweries, from Ocean City to Delmar.  The event officially kicks off Thursday, September 11th at 7:00PM at Backshore Brewing on the boardwalk. Brews for Boobs is happening all September and October long, with weekly trips to different breweries to benefit the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” foundation:

  • Friday thru Sunday Double Down Wine & Beer Festival | Proceeds Benefiting DiakoniaCasino at Ocean Downs | Under the Big Tent.  The 2nd Annual Double Down Wine & Beer Festival will be taking place under the big tent at the Casino at Ocean Downs!  Tickets are $30 per person at the door.  Guests receive $20 in slot dollars, tastings from a variety of wine and beer vendors, access to live entertainment and a commemorative glass.  Clothing and jewelry vendors will have a variety of unique wares for sale, and there will be various art displays to view while sipping your beverages.  All proceeds go to Diakonia Homeless Shelter and Food Bank. 
  • Friday thru Sunday - Free State Corvette Weekend, Clarion Hotel and Inlet Parking Lot.  Great annual event for Corvette enthusiasts and owners. This is the largest Corvette Club sponsored event on the East Coast of the United States with over 1200 Corvette enthusiasts attending from Canada to Florida.  Car shows, road rallies, a parade and other related activities raise money for charity.   • Sunday - Bark on the Boards, Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.  Save the Date for the 4th annual Bark on the Boards Dog Walk, and take strides against animal suffering.  Join hundreds of other animal lovers and their canine companions for a dog-gone good time!  The walk coincides with the first weekend of the “off-season” when dogs are welcome on the boards and beach.  So break out the leash and your flip flops and take to the boards to help animals in need.  No dog?  No problem!  You don’t need to bring a dog to participate.  Enjoy a leisurely stroll on the boardwalk, and participate in fun activities for the whole family.
