OCRR44 Penguin Swim Team: First,
we want to say THANK YOU to all of you who donated to individuals and to the
Team as a whole AND to everyone who purchased raffle tickets. The raffle alone raised $1800. And another Big THANK YOU to Martha
Worthington who did a GREAT job making the quilt which is what drove a lot of
the ticket sales. Thanks to all of you,
we are nearing our goal of raising $14,000 for the hospital.
If anyone would
like to make a donation, there is still time.
Just go to "www.aghpenguinswim.org",
click on "Teams" then on "OC Ravens Roost 44". At that point you can pick an individual or
donate to the Team by clicking on "donate" and filling in the
required info.
Everyone is
invited to come down to the Princess Royal to support and cheer for the Team. The hospitality room is on the pool level. There will be some refreshments in the room
and you are welcome to bring more to share if you want. We go into the water at 1pm and will be going
to BJ's for lunch after the awards ceremony.
Everyone is welcome to join us for lunch as well.
Thanks for your
support!!

A couple was holiday shopping at
the mall, and the place was packed. As
the wife walked through the mall, she was surprised to look up and see her
husband was nowhere around. She was
quite upset because they had a lot to do. Because she was so worried, she called him on
her cell phone to ask him where he was.
In a calm
voice, the husband said, "Honey, you remember the jewelry store we went
into about 5 years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that
we could not afford and I told you that I would get it for you one day?"
The wife choked
up and started to cry and said, "Yes, I remember that jewelry store."
He said,
"Well, I'm in the bar right next to it."
