Still working on Christmas party. It will be on Dec 13th 12:30 to 4:30. We will have heavy finger foods like last year. No drink tickets. Do not have a price yet but should be around $45 to $50 pp with spouse or SO being $60 to $65 pp.
Would like to have Shrimp/Fried chicken dinner at Legion if we can get enough interested in it. Will have money and plant wheels. Date TBD.
Entertainment mtgs will be at 6:30 before every monthly Roost mtg. Please consider joining so we can plan more fun things to do in the coming year.

Our permanent meeting host is the American Legion Post 166 located at Coastal Hwy and 23rd Street. At the request of the Legion, meetings will now be on the first Tuesday of each month.
Roost members please enter through the handicap door on the 23rd street north side.
Be sure to sign in at the table at the door.
The general membership meeting starts promptly at 7:30. There may be some committee
meetings going on before that. However, members are invited and encouraged to arrive as
early as 6:00 to enjoy drinks and food specials The Post kitchen stays open until 7:30 on
our meeting nights to accommodate us. This is a great time to enjoy the facility and engage
with other members. The Post accepts cash only.

AGH Penguin Swim:
Please consider joining us for a fun evening cruise to 3 different water side restaurants and bars to raise money for the TidalHealth Atlantic (AGH) Penguin Swim which supports our local hospital. Share the attached flyer with friends and family, but space is limited to 50 passengers on the boat, so be sure to sign up early. There will be a cash bar onboard and tickets will be available for the raffle prizes.

This week in Ocean City, MD (around August 26–30/31, 2026) is a busy late-summer stretch with major festivals, free family events, live music, and ongoing beach activities.
Major Events
Ocean City Jeep Fest (Aug 27–30): Four days of Jeep culture with morning beach crawls (staging ~6:45 a.m., crawls ~7:45–9:15 a.m. from the Inlet), an obstacle sand course, Vendor Village and expo at the Convention Center (roughly 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Thu–Sat), Show & Shine, parties, and after-parties. Kickoff-style events begin earlier.
Summer Send Off (Aug 27–30, weather-dependent, mainly evenings): Free beachfront spectacle on the beach between Dorchester and 3rd Streets. Features illuminated hot air balloons (calm conditions) or giant kites (windier), starting around 4 p.m., with a laser show ~8:30–9:30 p.m. Hotel discounts (15–30% off at many spots) and other specials are available.
Ocean City Seafood Festival (Sat, Aug 29, ~1–8 p.m., Northside Park): Second annual event with 20+ local restaurants/food trucks serving steamed crabs, crab cakes, lobster rolls, oysters, and more; live music, cooking demos, drinks (beer/wine/cocktails), vendors, VIP options, and a kids’ zone. Kids 16 & under free; advance tickets around $15 (onsite higher). Portion of proceeds benefits the Oyster Recovery Partnership.
Sundaes in the Park with Fireworks (Sun, Aug 30, ~7–9 p.m., Northside Park): Free family concert series with live music (this week features an ’80s-themed act like Fast Times at Shermer High), ice cream, kids’ activities, and fireworks over the bay.
