Greetings to all…

What a weekend of football..all 4 games decided by win or OT
on field goals in remaining seconds..

WE NEED A CHAIRPERSON TO VOLUNTEER FOR THE GOLF SCHOLARSHIP..this is a
great event and more importantly it offers two students each from Stephen Decatur, Indian River and Worcester Prep high schools a scholarship to help with their financial needs as they enter college ..Don McMullan has done a fantastic job in the last few year’s chairing this event and is willing to help the new chairperson..I also tip my hat to Marc Grimes who started this event and who is also volunteering to help..if anyone is interested in being the Chairperson of the Golf Scholarship Committee please contact my email rjm73054@gmail.com..

Contact Matt Herrmann if you would be interested in joining the By-Laws committee..

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday February 10th at the American Legion in Ocean City..

Scholarship Golf: 25th Annual Ravens Roost #44 Scholarship Golf Tournament!

· When: June 3, 2022

· Where: Ocean Pines Golf Club-Ocean Pines

· Time: 9:00am shotgun tournament start

· Events: Golf, putting Contest, 50-50, luncheon, silent auction, awards

· Needed: Golf Chair person, volunteers, Major sponsors, Tee sponsors, gift cards/certificates from businesses, golfers

RR44 Super Bowl Pool Fundraiser –

$200 winner for each of the 1st 3 quarters.

$200 final score winner.

$200 will be retained by the Roost.

Parade:

As of right now, the 2022 Ocean City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on and scheduled for March 12. Details soon!

Elections:

New officers to be sworn in at the February meeting.

Apparel:

The online apparel Store is open for January. Link is Ravensroost44.itemorder.com. All orders for January will ship in February.

Good of the Roost:

The Roost officers and Board members were named at the January meeting..see
the results in Terri Schaefer’s report..those members will be sworn in at the
February meeting

We had a nice turnout at our January meeting..seems not all are snow birding to Florida..at least for now..Our next meeting will be held on Thursday February 10th ..

The Golf Scholarship committee still needs a Chairperson..Don McMullen has
volunteered, along with others to help and coordinate this event..

Matt Herrmann is the new By-Laws committee chairperson..contact Matt if
interested in joining the committee..

Donna Chaplinski has volunteered to become our Chairperson for the Ravens Roost Council convention…contact Donna if you want to help on the committee…

Please suggest new ideas for fundraising or volunteer to help on some of these committees ..check the upcoming events that are posted in the Caw/Poop..

Scholarship Golf: 25th Annual Ravens Roost #44 Scholarship Golf Tournament!

This 9:00am shotgun golf event is scheduled to be held at the Ocean Pines Golf Club on June 3^,2022, with a luncheon, silent auction & golf awards following at the Ocean Pines Bar & Grille. This is a special year since it is our 25th Anniversary of raising funds for College Scholarships for Indian River, Stephen Decatur & Worcester Prep High School 2022 Seniors.

Please consider on being on the Scholarship committee as we plan to have the 1st meeting Monday, January 24th at The Original Greene Turtle.

We need major sponsors, $100.00 Tee sponsors, golfers, in kind donations, certificates from your favorite local businesses, restaurants and golf foursome donations. Please contact Don McMullen, Eric Waterman, Fritz Lahner and other golf committee members if you can join us this year. We're still searching for a Chairperson.

Funny Poop

On their way to get married, a young Catholic couple is involved in a fatal car accident. The couple find themselves sitting outside the Pearly Gates waiting for St. Peter to process them into Heaven.

While waiting, they begin to wonder: Could they possibly get married in Heaven?

When St. Peter showed up, they asked him. St. Peter said, ‘I don’t know. This is the first time anyone has asked. Let me go find out,’ and he leaves.

The couple sat and waited, and waited. Two months passed and the couple are still waiting. While waiting, they began to wonder what would happen if it didn’t work out; could you get a divorce in heaven.

After yet another month, St. Peter finally returns, looking somewhat bedraggled. ‘Yes,’ he informs the couple, ‘you can get married in Heaven.’

‘Great!’ said the couple, ‘But we were just wondering, what if things don’t work out? Could we also get a divorce in Heaven?’

St. Peter, red-faced with anger, slammed his clipboard onto the ground.

‘What’s wrong?’ asked the frightened couple.

‘OH, COME ON!’, St. Peter shouted, ‘It took me three months to find a priest up here! Do you have any idea how long it’ll take me to find a lawyer?
