    • Presidents Message Sept. 2012
Some changes are being made to the Ravens Rap show. First off, no “radio” in the title because it will be on TV only. It will be a 1 hour taped show on Wednesdays @ 7pm in the Ravens Room at the Blue Ox starting on Sept. 5th. There will be fewer breaks so as not to disrupt the conversation and flow of the show as much as in the past (and maybe give John a chance to finish his thoughts?). The stage will be moved to the entrance side of the room (where the cameras have been) so that there is no disruption from the audience walking around going to the bar and restrooms. The Hosts will include Tony Lombardi once a month, Bruce will show up on occasion, Bobby V will be making more appearances and Steve will be joining John Gehrig, and Mike Bradley more often. In addition to this group there will be occasional guests including Joel Feldman, Billy Carder, Buxy, and the Mayor. Eileen also mentioned some giveaways, including Jerseys and items “not yet confirmed”. The show is a great way to stay abreast of the ins and outs of the games and to get a feeling of what is going on behind the scenes, and hopefully, we will get a visit from our favorite NFL Team owner. And as a group we can promote our Roost and demonstrate our collective team spirit on TV. Hope to see you there!
It is time again to join the RR44 Penguin Swim Team. Maggie will have details on how to sign up and register on the AGH Penguin Swim web page at the next meeting. Last year we took 3rd place in the team fundraising division missing out on 2nd place by only a couple hundred dollars. Our goal is to take second place this year! This is a fun event and for a very worthy cause, so come out and help us raise money for your local hospital and have some fun in the process.
The Ravens are off to a pretty good start so far and I am cautiously optimistic that we will once again make it to the playoffs. Regardless of how the season plays out, I know we will have a lot of fun getting together as a group to watch the games in our Ravens Room at the Blue Ox, especially with the new TV’s!

As a reminder, if you or another member is ill, in the hospital or recovering from an operation, please call Cindy Brought @ 302-245-5673.
Go Ravens!!

  • The Ravens open up the regular season on Monday Night Football as the Bengals come to Baltimore, 7 pm. The bus leaves 5 ½ hours before gametime, so that makes it 1:30 pm. Don’t forget, Delaware riders, pick up is at the Roses on 113, not Sussex Lumber.
  • Good news notes and nuggets from Sarah Ellison’s Blog here. It’s getting to the point where I can hardly stand ESPN, but I do go Jamison Hensley’s Blog here to stay up to date with all of the AFC North news.

Funny Poop
  • Bernie and Ted were walking down the street when they saw two street dogs mating in the park. Bernie said, "That's just great. I do it like that with my wife every night."
Ted said, "My wife is unadventurous, she only likes to do it the old fashioned way. Give me advice how you get your wife to do this, I would also like to try it with my wife."
Bernie replied, "Give your wife two shots of whiskey and she will be all ready."
The next morning they met for their morning jog and Bernie asked, "How did it go?"
Ted answered, "It was great, but it took my wife eight drinks."
Bernie asked with surprise, "Eight drinks?"
Ted replied with a sigh, "Yes. After two she was more than willing to screw that way, but it took six more to get her out on the front lawn!"

Baltimore Ravens, let’s go
And put that ball across the line
So fly with talons spread wide
Go in and strike with Ravens pride
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Ravens dark wings take flight
Dive in and show them your might
For Baltimore and Maryland
You will fly on to victory
