The Wall That Heals, a 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans
Memorial and mobile Education Center, honors the more than three million
Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces during the Vietnam War, and its
wall bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the
ultimate sacrifice in Southeast Asia during that time.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is the most visited memorial in our
Nation's Capital, with more than four million visitors each year, yet many
Americans - including many veterans and their families - have not been able to
visit. The Wall That Heals gives many
more people the opportunity to see the Memorial and honor those who served.
