Friday, November 4^th - Casino Bus Trip to Harrington. Pickup at Montego Bay at 8:30, and Rose’s Millsboro at 9 am; Return leaving Harrington at 3pm. - Bull Roast tix open to all members and public and that we are only selling 200.
- Anyone wanting to nominate member for member of the year must give, in writing, anyone they want to nominate to a board or member or previous winner. Board and previous members will vote by October's meeting.
- We will be changing our November meeting to 11/3 due to home game on our regular meeting night on 11/10.
Tailgate @ Brandywine - As I mentioned at the Aug. meeting, "Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island" has invited RR44 to enjoy a tailgate party with the residents. The two games we are looking at are Sept. 25^th vs Jaguars and Oct. 23^rd vs The Jets. Please let me know if you would be interested in attending either of these events. Gary, 443-618-9972.

2016 Roost Entertainment Activities

Boardwalk Bike Ride/ Walk – Last ride/walk 2^nd Saturday of October. Meet at 27th Street at 9 AM. Afterwards some of us go to breakfast at the Sahara on Johnny Unitas Way (19th Street). Come join us for breakfast whether you did the Boards or not. Another opportunity to see old friends and make new ones.
Crab Feast - Saturday, October 1^st at Shrimp Boat, 1-5 pm. $35 pp, which includes tax and grat. Menu includes crabs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, coleslaw, hush puppies, Coors Light and Miller Lite draft, soda, iced tea, and water. No children please but non-members are okay. Checks only payable to Ravens Roost #44. Sign Up Sheet at the August and September meeting and the cutoff date is September 20.
Dover Air Museum & Dogfish Brewer Tours Sat. 10/15/16. Dover AFB tour of museum (many planes we can board - including Reagan's AF1) & Dogfish Head Brewpub Tour/Tasting/Lunch. The trip is now sold out. We will take names for a waiting list for possible dropouts by contacting Ron @ ronapperson@msn.com or 302-436-4790. The cost is finalized @ $10 pp as long as it stays sold out. Please bring cash payment to Ron @ RR mtg on 10/13 or at the bus pickup point behind Montego Bay SC on Saturday 10/15. But please call to tell me if you are paying at the bus (no surprises please). The bus leaves at 8:30 am. Remember - no open toed shoes allowed at the museum. You can bring snacks & drinks but please no alcohol.
Bull & Oyster Roast - October 29^th, 2-6 PM at the American Legion on 23rd St. and Coastal Highway. This is our annual fund raising event! So bring your friends and family too. Tickets are $40. The menu includes pit beef, fried oysters, raw oysters, oyster stew, sausage & peppers & onions, sides, dessert, beer and soda. Cash bar. Live music by The Stims. Canned Food Drive - Bring canned goods to November 3^rd Roost meeting for local food bank.

Ravens Poop

The 2-0 Ravens came back from 20 points down to beat the Cleveland Browns 25-20. Next up, the Ravens travel to sunny Jacksonville to play the Jaguars, Sunday @ 1 pm. Don’t forget, $10 tailgate @ the Turtle for the game!

Transportation:

1. Free parking is available at the West Ocean City Park & Ride. Park free & ride shuttle bus to Sunfest for $3.

3. Express trolley shuttles will depart from the south lot of the Roland E. Powell Convention Center at 40th Street (free parking). Trolley shuttle fares: ride all day for $3 or $1 per boarding.

4. Free parking at the Public Safety Building on 65th St, Northside Park on 125th St or Municipal Lot on 100th St. Then ride the bus to Sunfest. Bus fares: ride all day for $3 or $1 per boarding.

Thousands of spectators travel to see master kite flyers from around the world showcase their aerial displays of art. Kite making workshops and Kite battles. This year, The Kite Loft welcomes Mike Van Meers as a returning co-coordinator. Mike will be holding impromptu games with the opportunity to win great prizes.

On Saturday at 1:00pm we will be giving away FREE Kites to the first 100 kids between the ages of 5 and 12. We will be on hand to assist you assemble and launch your kite. Locals and visitors are welcome to join in on this colorful action.
