Weekly Poop 1/18/17

Roost #44 Poop
  • Dates to Remember:
    • TomorrowRavens Roost #44 Monthly meeting, 7:30 pm, upstairs at the Original Greene Turtle.
  • Road Trip 2017 – Everyone: Here are the links to reserve your spot on the OC Ravens Roost 44 Road Trip to London! Please click on each of the links to read what is included (additional 3 nights in Paris is now available and details are included in that link) before making your decision. Once you have decided, you can place your deposit. Remember to consider the Travel Insurance option as the deposit is non-refundable. If you want to customize any part of the trip, please contact Jacob Sudek directly. His phone number and email address are included in the links and at the bottom of this page. The prices as shown are good until Jan 31st so you need to pay the deposit by then to lock in the current price. Keep in mind that once the NFL puts out the schedule, prices, especially for air, will probably go up. The other thing to consider is that you are locking in the current exchange rate for the US dollar which could change, making the price go higher. I will be on the Roost Cruise till 1/16 but will try to answer emails on a daily basis. Thanks, Gary.
  • Dues: Dues ($30 per person) are to be paid by the February meeting. Please make your check payable to Ravens Roost #44 and pay at the January or February meeting, or mail to me at 126 Pine Tree Rd., Ocean City, MD 21842. If you have any questions please e-mail me at jelder10@verizon.net. Don't forget that we are looking for a replacement for me as membership chairperson. Let one of the officers know if you're interested. Jo Ann.
  • Scholarship Golf: There will be a 20th annual scholarship golf tournament this year. Any members who would like to help out can sign up for the golf/scholarship committee at this weeks meeting.
The tournament will be held at the Ocean Pines Golf and Country Club on Friday June 2, 2017. Cost per golfer is $115 and $460 for a team of 4. Includes Golf, Practice range, Golf Awards Luncheon Banquet, Continental breakfast, Gift bag, 2 on-course beverage coupons, $500 Putting Contest, $250 Cash Raffle and kegs at the turn and at the luncheon.
Also, there are sponsorships available: Signature Sponsor ($2,000) includes 2 team entries, 4 tee signs, and tournament banner and tournament banquet recognition. $1,400 without team entries. Major Sponsor ($1,000): 1 team entry, 2 tee signs, and tournament banner and tournament banquet recognition. $700 without team entry. Tee Sign Sponsors-$100.
The committee is also looking for gift cards and new merchandise for the event.
With the $14,200 we will be awarding in scholarships in June 2107, the Roost will have awarded over $160,000 during the lifetime of our grants. Please help us out any way you can to support this cause.
Thanks, Marc Grimes & Don McMullen, Co-Chairs.

Be on time as we will have a shotgun start at every other hole! Then we will re-convene at the Green Turtle upstairs for a tailgate type food spread & prizes (cash bar on your own, we can not bring our drinks from Old Pro to the Turtle). Funny Poop
  • God visited a woman and told her she must give up smoking, drinking and unmarried sex if she wants to get into heaven.
The woman said she would try her best.
God visited the woman a week later to see how she was getting on.
"Not bad" said the woman, "I've given up smoking and drinking but then I bent over to get some stuff out of the freezer and my boyfriend caught sight of my long slender legs, he pulled up my skirt, pulled my panties to one side and made love to me right then and there."
"They don't like that in heaven, said God.
The woman replied, "They're not too happy about it in Harris Teeter either!"
