Scholarship Golf: 25th Annual Ravens Roost #44 Scholarship Golf Tournament!

June 3rd

· June 3, 2022 8:00am registration with continental breakfast, 9:00am Shotgun start, Luncheon & awards after the golf.

Putting contest winner $500.00, Cash Raffle $250.00

We need volunteers the day of the tournament

Needed:

$120.00 per golfer

$100.00 tee sponsors

Signature Sponsors $2,000.00 (Two team entries, four tee signs, recognition at the tournament Banquet and their business banner

Major sponsors $1,000.00 (Team entry, two tee signs, recognition at the tournament banquet, business recognized on out tournament banner.

Volunteers will stuff goody bags 4:00pm, June 2nd, at the Ocean Pines Golf Club. It will only be less then hour to complete this task.

Road Trip:

· New Orleans: At May’s Roost meeting, the majority of members indicated that they would prefer to go to New Orleans for this years Road Trip. After talking with a Saints Representative, I found that there are NO group sales and neither the Stadium or the Saints Team sell individual game tickets. I then looked at other alternatives, including changing the trip to either Jacksonville or Tampa. Because most of the Roost wants to go to NOLA, I also looked at the trip BMOREAROUNDTOWN is offering.

Considering what is included in the package, and the options available, I think this is the best bet for our New Orleans Trip. The details for this trip are below. Be sure to look at the different options for how many nights you want to stay. There is also an option that includes airfare or just the land portion if you want to book your own. Both packages include:

The 4 night (Friday-Tuesday) package Land Only is $1,250/pp. With RT Air, it is $1,700/pp

When I talked with Brian, the owner of BMOREAROUNDTOWN, he said the hotels will be either Marriott or similar in downtown NOLA, so we will be close to lots of attractions. He also mentioned that the pricing for the different trip options is estimated, but he thinks the final price will be on the lower side of the estimates he is showing on the attached.

If you are interested in going on this trip, there is a $200 deposit per person required to hold your seat. Brian agreed to hold 40 spots for our group UNTIL JUNE 8TH, so you have to get the deposit to him by that date. Please also let me know if you are going so that I have a list as well.

Please remember that you have to book directly with BmoreAroundTown to reserve your spot NO LATER THAN June 8th. Although most of the members voted to go to NOLA at the last meeting, as of today, there are only 2 couples that have advised me that they are interested in going on the trip. If you have, or are planning on booking with Bmore, please let me know so we can keep a list. Unfortunately, I may have to have back surgery in the next couple months and am not sure when I will be able to travel again, so Maggie and I are not able to commit to going on the trip. The good news is that Bmore has a good reputation for taking care of customers who go on their trips, so you will be well taken care of if you go. ALSO note that Bmore has trips to other away games if you decide you want to go to a different game.

· Friday - Summer Kick-Off Ceremony, OC Events. The Town of Ocean City will hold a ceremony marking the official start of the 2022 summer season and in honor of Memorial Day as we remember those who bravely fought for our country. The kick-off event will include two sky jumpers who will deliver the American and Ocean City flags to the beach. Another unique feature of this kickoff event will be the more than 40 beach umbrellas arranged to spell out Ocean City's 2022 tagline "Enjoy" when viewed from the sky above.

Funny Poop

· A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the Doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The Doctor arrived, examined the baby, checked his weight, and seeming a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed.

"Breast-fed," she replied.

"Strip down to your waist," the Doctor said. She did. He pinched her nipples, then pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for awhile in a detailed examination. Motioning her to get dressed, he said, "No wonder this baby is underweight, you don't have any milk."

"I know," she said, "I'm his Grandma, but I'm glad I came."
