Greetings to all..

Not much to say on this week’s Poop but to wish all our Roost members a Happy Thanksgiving..be grateful and thankful for what you have and to give to others who are in need this time of year..and especially remember those who will not be with us…

· Membership rosters have been updated and we have 130 paid members for 2022. Thanks again to all that have chosen to remain part of this great club.

Apparel:

· The apparel online store is currently closed with October items shipping in November. It will reopen at the beginning of January. http://ravensroost44.itemorder.com/

Entertainment:

· Christmas Party: Christmas Party is Saturday December 17th from 6-9pm at Mios [same place as last year on 54]. All registrations and monies have been turned in I’m told we have 66 members attending. See you there!

House:

Please see this attached flyer that the AL chef gave us at the game viewing Sunday.

It is for this coming Sunday game 11/27. They are trying to provide a true all you can eat BUFFETT.

I do not know where this is going beyond that.

Just a reminder (and for anyone who does not know) that our permanent meeting host American Legion Post 166 has invited our Roost and friends to attend every Sunday afternoon Raven's game in our meeting room with the big screen and reserved seating up front. Game fare specials are available at a served food bar that varies weekly along with their regular kitchen menu items delivered to your table. The bar is open just like our meetings. Hard to get better seats than this!

Nominations:

Hello Raven Roost Members – Get Ready to NOMINATE! We need YOU! Get Involved! We are accepting nominations for President and Vice President. Do you know someone that would be great for the Roost in these exciting roles?

Please email me your nominations no later than Wednesday December 5. (michele.brill@aol.com). We will have final nominations at the Thursday December 6 Ravens Roost meeting. Come on and join the fun – Being the Prez or VP!

Any member in good standing is eligible as a candidate for office, provided he/she has been a member of the roost for at least four (4) months prior to nominations and their dues paid to date.

The process:

 Collect nominations thru December meeting.

 The list of candidates will be read at the December meeting.

 Secret ballot voting will be conducted at the January meeting.

Elected officers will be announced at the February meeting.

Ticket Exchange:

· I am interested in selling my 2 PSL’s and the season tickets that go with them, hopefully to a Roost member. Seats are in Section 148, row 32, seats 21 & 22. Ticket costs are face value (total $3380); PSL’s are negotiable. They are good seats with good “neighbors”. My phone numbers are:

Local Poop

·         Now thru December 31 - Winterfest Of Lights, Northside Park. See how Ocean City, MD, sparkles this winter and visit the Winterfest of Lights! This walking event will take you through thousands of sparkling holiday lights and many animated light displays located along a paved path in Northside Park. Sip hot chocolate, take a photo with Santa, visit our gift shop android walk through the array of holiday exhibits – including many surprises. Come see the 50-foot Christmas tree put on a show for you and soak up all of the holiday spirit at Winterfest of Lights.

Admission is only $6 for guests 12 years and older and FREE for children 11 years and younger. Pets are welcome on Wednesday evenings. So grab your family and friends, and don't miss this award-winning holiday event!

·         Now thru December 31 - Winterfest Train Garden Display - Free Admission, Roland E. Powell Convention Center. If you're looking for a fun and festive activity to add to your Winterfest of Lights tradition this holiday season, then head on over to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center Welcome Center and enjoy the Holiday Model Railroad Display! It's sure to put you in the Christmas spirit! Admission is free, but donations are accepted to benefit Ocean City Beach Patrol, so bring your whole family!

·         Friday thru Sunday - Holiday Shoppers Fair, Roland E. Powell Convention Center. The Holiday Shoppers Fair, hosted at the Roland E. POWELL Convention Center will feature over 150 Vendors and unique merchandise as well as handmade products, nautical, candles, photography, florals, jewelry, and ceramics. Shop for great gifts and household items. The weekend shopping event will also include face painting and children's activities.

·         Friday - ICE ICE Berlin & Town of Berlin Christmas Tree Lighting, DJ Al Reno - Town of Berlin. Join the Mayor and his special guests as we kick off the Holiday Season with a tree lighting, music, greet Santa at the Kringle Kottage at the Taylor House Museum and over 30 ice carving and more. ICE ICE Berlin is back with beautifully carved ice sculptures by an amazing artist. Shops will be open late too! The Christmas Tree will be lit at 6:00 pm.

Funny Poop

· A boss was complaining in a staff meeting the other day that he wasn't getting any respect. Later that morning he went to a local sign shop and bought a small sign that read, "I'm the Boss". He then taped it to his office door.

Later that day when he returned from lunch, he found that someone had taped a note to the sign that said. "Your wife called, she wants her sign back!"
