Greetings to all..

Had a nice turnout for our meeting last week..45 members were in attendance ..

If you haven’t turned in your money for our annual Christmas/Holiday party please do so ASAP…mail them to Donna Chaplinski and make check payable to the Ravens Roost #44

Read the Entertainment committee report for any information about the party..

We have one nominated candidate for each of the office of President and Vice President..if you are interested in any one of these positions please contact Michele Sardelis our Nomination committee chairperson..

A reminder ( this is going to sound weird ) that we have a 1:00 game this Sunday vs Carolina Panthers ..which means come on down and watch it at the American Legion…food specials and drinks..bring your friends and family to cheer on a Ravens victory..

It’s also that time of year where others aren’t as fortunate as we are so Donna has suggested that at our next meeting have a food drive by bringing in can goods or other non perishable food items to be donated at Diakonia…

· Christmas Party: Christmas Party is Saturday December 17th from 6-9pm at Mios [same place as last year on 54]. Member cost is $40.00. Money is due by November 22nd. Send checks, made out to Ravens Roost #44, to Donna Chaplinski 38329 Maple Lane Selbyville De 19975.

House:

Just a reminder (and for anyone who does not know) that our permanent meeting host American Legion Post 166 has invited our Roost and friends to attend every Sunday afternoon Raven's game in our meeting room with the big screen and reserved seating up front. Game fare specials are available at a served food bar that varies weekly along with their regular kitchen menu items delivered to your table. The bar is open just like our meetings. Hard to get better seats than this!

Hello Raven Roost Members – Get Ready to NOMINATE! We need YOU! Get Involved! We are accepting nominations for President and Vice President. Do you know someone that would be great for the Roost in these exciting roles?

Please email me your nominations no later than Wednesday December 5. (michele.brill@aol.com). We will have final nominations at the Thursday December 6 Ravens Roost meeting. Come on and join the fun – Being the Prez or VP!

Any member in good standing is eligible as a candidate for office, provided he/she has been a member of the roost for at least four (4) months prior to nominations and their dues paid to date.

The process:

 Collect nominations thru December meeting.

 The list of candidates will be read at the December meeting.

 Secret ballot voting will be conducted at the January meeting.

Elected officers will be announced at the February meeting.

Ticket Exchange:

· I am interested in selling my 2 PSL’s and the season tickets that go with them, hopefully to a Roost member. Seats are in Section 148, row 32, seats 21 & 22. Ticket costs are face value (total $3380); PSL’s are negotiable. They are good seats with good “neighbors”. My phone numbers are:

Local Poop

·         Tomorrow thru December 31 - Winterfest Of Lights, Northside Park. See how Ocean City, MD, sparkles this winter and visit the Winterfest of Lights! This walking event will take you through thousands of sparkling holiday lights and many animated light displays located along a paved path in Northside Park. Sip hot chocolate, take a photo with Santa, visit our gift shop android walk through the array of holiday exhibits – including many surprises. Come see the 50-foot Christmas tree put on a show for you and soak up all of the holiday spirit at Winterfest of Lights.

Admission is only $6 for guests 12 years and older and FREE for children 11 years and younger. Pets are welcome on Wednesday evenings. So grab your family and friends, and don't miss this award-winning holiday event!
The opening ceremony is on Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will feature a performance by Ocean City Elementary School’s “OC Stars” singing and dancing to holiday songs. Mayor Rick Meehan will then “flip the switch” to light the Winterfest displays and the 50-foot Christmas tree, officially opening the festival.

·         Tomorrow thru December 31 - Winterfest Train Garden Display - Free Admission, Roland E. Powell Convention Center. If you're looking for a fun and festive activity to add to your Winterfest of Lights tradition this holiday season, then head on over to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center Welcome Center and enjoy the Holiday Model Railroad Display! It's sure to put you in the Christmas spirit! Admission is free, but donations are accepted to benefit Ocean City Beach Patrol, so bring your whole family!

·         Saturday - Bill Engvall Here's Your Sign It's Finally Time the Farewell Tour, Roland E. Powell Convention Center. Bill Engvall is a Grammy nominated, multi-platform selling recording artist and one of the top comedians in the country. Bill can regulary be seen in a recuring role on the hit FOX sitcom Last Man Standing playing Reverend Paul. Two shows will be available on November 19, 2022 at the Ocean City Maryland Performing Arts Center at 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Funny Poop

· I was in bed with a blind girl last night and she said that I had the biggest 'member' she had ever laid her hands on. I said "You're pulling my leg".

· I saw a poor old lady fall over today on the ice. At least I presume she was poor - she only had a few bucks in her purse.

· The wife has been missing a week now. Police said to prepare for the worst. So, I went back to the thrift shop and got all of her clothes back.
