Our membership roster is updated and we are currently collecting dues for 2024. Dues remain $40 per year. Please make checks payable to Ravens Roost #44.

Parade:

St. Paddy’s Day Parade!

· Where? Coastal Highway, 57^th Street to 44^th Street

· When? Saturday, March 16^th.

· What time? Parade begins 12 noon.

· Tailgate? You betcha! We will gather at Beach Copy (5901 Coastal Highway, bayside) beginning 10am for pre-parade festivities! BYOB plus music and fun!

· Where do I park? Parking is extremely limited at Beach Copy and it is recommended that you park somewhere close to the end of the parade and walk back to Beach Copy so when we’re done marching, you’ll be close to your vehicle.

· What do I wear? Whatever festive clothing you want! We’ll have purple vests for folks to wear so we’ll all look a little bit alike.

· Afterward? Everyone who marches is invited to continue the festivities at PTBNL (Place to be Named Later). The Roost will be buying the food, you will need to purchase your drinks.

The store is now open for February orders to be delivered in March.

Entertainment:

· Working on next Annual RR 44 cruise. It will be in 2025, most likely in Spring, or early Summer. I am away til April meeting. I hopefully will have more information. Any ideas for future outings, text Donna at 410-627-7697. Thanks!

· The Entertainment Committee is hosting a special event to raise money for our Roost. Please mark your calendar for Wednesday March 27th for a fun evening with friends and Roost members at Pancho & Lefty's in west OC.

A portion of the profits that night will be donated to Ravens Roost 44. We will also have a 50/50 raffle and a door prize will be awarded to one lucky guest. Since this is a fundraiser FOR OUR ROOST, please invite your friends, neighbors, and workmates to attend.

"The more the merrier", AND, the more that attend, the more will be donated to RR44!!

House:

Our permanent meeting host is the American Legion Post 166 located at Coastal Hwy and 23^rd streets.

Please enter through the handicapped door on the 23^rd street north side. All membership meetings begin at 7:30pm on the second Thursday of each month. However, all Roost members are invited to arrive early for food and drink specials at reasonable prices - a great place to have dinner before or during the meeting. The Post only accepts cash for purchases.

The only likely changes to the meeting schedule are for an outside summer meeting at our annual family picnic and for a conflict at the post during the October bike week.

During football season we are invited to the Post for a game viewing party with the big projection screen along with tailgating food and drinks for sale.

· Golfer Registration fee: $120.00

· Tee sponsorship fee: $100.00

· Signature Sponsor $2,000.00 and Major Sponsor $1,000.00

· Time: 7:45am registration; 9:00am Shotgun start

We need volunteers for the day of the event. (Please contact Don McMullen if you can volunteer the day of the event).

We will be awarding six (6) $2,500.00 Scholarships to two Scholar Athletes from Indian River, Stephen Decatur and Worcester Preparatory High Schools, the end of May. This will represent a total of $258,900.00 given since the inception of our grant giving.

· Ravens Roost #44 has won many trophies over the last 25 years, a majority of which Gary Miller had graciously stored in his storage locker. Gary would like to find a new home for them. Tammy and Ann were shopping. When they started to discuss their home lives, Tammy said, "Seems like all Alfred and I do anymore is fight. I've been so upset I've lost 20 pounds."

"Why don't you just leave him then?" said Ann.

"Oh! Not yet." Tammy replied, "I'd like to lose at least another ten to fifteen pounds first.
