This year’s
Ravens Roost Council Convention is Thursday, May 30 thru Sunday, June 2, once
again at the Castle in the Sand. The

The convention is
a great opportunity to share fellowship with Ravens fans from all over. Ravens Roost 44 will, as always, have a
hospitality suite located at Room 12, ground level, right next to the Castle in
the Sand office, for conventioneers to enjoy.
You can still
participate in the convention, but you will not be getting the goodie bag. Contact Donna Chaplinski (410-627-7697)
for more information.

Our permanent meeting host is the
American Legion Post 166 located at Coastal Hwy and 23rd streets.
Please enter through the handicapped
door on the 23rd street north side.
All membership meetings begin at 7:30pm on the second Thursday of each
month. However, all Roost members are
invited to arrive early for food and drink specials at reasonable prices - a
great place to have dinner before or during the meeting. The Post only accepts cash for purchases.
The only likely changes to the
meeting schedule are for an outside summer meeting at our annual family picnic
and for a conflict at the post during the October bike week.
During football season we are invited
to the Post for a game viewing party with the big projection screen along with
tailgating food and drinks for sale.
Thanks,
Ron

Good of the Roost:
· Ravens Roost #44 has won many trophies over the last 25 years, a majority of which Gary Miller had graciously stored in his storage locker. Gary would like to find a new home for them. Anyone with any ideas where they can be stored (or displayed, preferably), please contact Gary @ 443.618.9972. garywm1952@gmail.com

Kick off the season in Ocean City over Memorial Day
Weekend — lots of people do, because for many, Memorial Day marks the
unofficial start of the summer. Hopefully
there’s good weather and you can spend your time outside, enjoying got beach,
the Boardwalk, and everything Ocean City has to offer. If a business has been closed over the winter
months, you can bet they are open for Memorial Day Weekend! So enjoy the beach, the Boardwalk, the parks,
and the pools, and make the most of the Holiday. Here are a few events happening in and around
Ocean City for Memorial Day, as well as live entertainment over the holiday
weekend.
Memorial
Day Weekend marks the beginning of summer in Ocean City, which also means
everything should be open for the season! This includes the rides at Trimper Rides on the Boardwalk, the go
karts at Baja Amusement, Pro Track and Grand Prix on Rt 50 in West Ocean City,
and mini golf, including the new Nick’s Mini Golf and Rope’s
Course on 21st Street, throughout the town. Let the summer begin!
It’s
not too early to rent a pontoon boat, or a jet ski and get out on the water for
the start of the summer. You can see
Ocean City from a different angle when you’re out on the water. Enjoy with friends and family, make a day of
it or just have fun for a couple of hours. Set your pace, and go for it! Our favorite places to rent from are Odyssea Watersports and Bayside Boat Rentals. Give them a call and make your reservation,
along with some great memories.
Visit
Berlin, Md on May 27th as they honor our veterans with a parade, food, music,
games, yard sale tables and vendors at Dr. William Henry Park located on Flower
Street. The Parade begins at 11am. Parade is by the BCIA in partnership with the
Town of Berlin.
And
of course, there is plenty of live music everywhere:
Funny Poop
· Ray shows up at the bar all out of
breath so Dewey asks him what the hell is wrong with you?
So Ray says "I’ve been running from the cops but I finally lost
them"
Dewey then asked "what the hell did you do?"
Ray replied " I was pissing in the shower and the cops showed up to
arrest me!"
"Thats not against the law" said Dewey,
"Thats what I thought," said Ray. "But those guys at Home Depot sure must
of thought it was"

input is appreciated.

Life is

·
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day
Weekend. Please remember to take time
out of you busy schedule to remember the men and women of
our Armed Forces that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
Frank
And put that ball across the line
So, fly with talons spread wide
Go in and strike with Ravens pride
