Weekly Poop 4/20/11

Roost #44 Poop
·         Dates to Remember:
·        Friday – Water Conservation Meeting @
·        Thursday, June 2 – Convention Weekend begins!  This is the Council’s largest fundraiser so be sure to sign up for what is always a great event.  From Jo Ann: “Members may still register but will not receive the souvenir package.  Please mail to me at 126 Pine Tree Rd., Ocean City, MD, 21842.  If you have any questions, please call me at 410-250-5124 or 410-251-4360 any time.  I will have more information of the special events--karaoke, miniature golf, scavenger hunt, bingo, etc.--at the next meeting, along with signup sheets.  The Council usually requests help with staffing the food tent and other incidental events.  Hopefully, I'll have more on that month as well.

This is a great time to meet other Roost members, as well as spending time with our own Roost members.  There's always plenty of beer and food available.  The price of $55 is very reasonable when you consider all the benefits.

You must be registered for the convention to participate in the events.  Each person attending must have proper credentials, so spouses must be registered as well.  There can't be any "sharing" this year.  This includes admittance to our hospitality room.  This is the Council's rule--not Ravens Roost 44.

Thanks.  Jo Ann Elder”

Registration forms and schedule can be found here.
·        Friday, June 3 – Ravens Roost #44 14th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament.  Once again @ the Ocean Pines Country Club.  The registration fee is only $85 this year so sign up early.  Registration forms and Tee Sign Sponsorship forms are available here.
·        Saturday, June 4 – Let's not forget the Convention Parade!  We need to get a head count on how many women (yes, we'll ALL be women) will be able to march.  I have had a few sign up already but would like to hear from all of you.  Please give me your name, phone number and T-shirt size.  E-mail me at memmray@peoplepc.com or call at 302-539-4623 (this is my REAL number).  Thanks, Marie and parade committee.
·        Saturday, June 11 – Bus trip to Camden Yards to see the Orioles take on Tampa Bay.  Details soon.
·        July 10, – Ravens Roost #44 Annual Summer Picnic @ White Horse Park.  Always a great time.  Details soon!
·        Saturday, 12/17 – The Annual Ravens Roost #44 Christmas Party, once again @ the Cove Restaurant at Bayside.  Details to follow.

Funny Poop
·        A farmer had five female pigs and, as times were hard, he had decided to take them to the county fair and sell them.  While at the fair, he met another farmer who owned five male pigs.  After talking a bit, they decided to mate the pigs and split everything 50/50.

The farmers lived sixty miles away from one another and so they agreed to drive thirty miles and find a field in which to mate their pigs.

The first morning, the farmer with the female pigs got up at 5 AM loaded the pigs into the family station wagon, which was the only vehicle they had, and drove the thirty miles.  While the pigs were mating, he asked the other farmer, "How will ! I know if they are pregnant?"

The other farmer replied, "If they're in the grass grazing in the morning, then they're pregnant, if they're in the mud, then they're not."

The next morning they were rolling in the mud, so he hosed them off, loaded them again into the family station wagon and proceeded to try again.  This continued each morning the following week until one morning the farmer was so tired that he couldn't get out of bed.

He called to his wife, "Honey, please look outside and tell me if the pigs are in the mud or in the field."

"Neither," yelled his wife, "they're in the station wagon and one of them is honking the horn."
