• Saturday, April 12 - 5th Annual Roost 44 Fund Raising Dance: This year's dance will be on Saturday April 18, 2015 from 7-11 PM.  Everything will be the same as last year - Music by TRANSFUSION; location is OC Elks Lodge Hall; beer, wine, soda, snacks, cash bar; door prizes, 50/50  & money wheel. $25pp.  Tickets will be available at the January meeting & choice of table reservations can be made with a payment of at least $150 (1/2 table of 12). • Wednesday, April 29 - OC Ravens Roost #44 Scholarship Fundraiser, 4 - 7 p.m. @ White Marlin Mall 5-Guys.  20% of Sales will be donated to the OC Ravens Roost 44 Scholarship Fund.  Get your voucher here. 
• Friday, May 29 - Roost #44 18th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament @ the Ocean Pines Golf Club.  $100 per golfer; 9 am shotgun start.  Get all of the details HERE. 
• Dues ($30 per member) are past due.  Checks are to be made to Ravens Roost 44, and may be mailed to Jo Ann at 126 Pine Tree Rd., Ocean City, MD 21842. 

We're going to try using our membership cards as name badges this year.  Everyone will be given a pin-on badge along with their membership card.  Hopefully, we will be able to read everyone's name during a meeting.  Again, this is a test this year.  Comments and suggestions are welcome.  Thanks, Jo Ann. 

• Roost Apparel: The last order of sweatshirts featuring the 3 Ravens logos (one OC Flag, One MD Flag, One US Flag) were apparently a hit and are sold out. I have a few short sleeved T's left in various sizes and colors (grey or black) for $15. I can place another order if you now see them would love to have one. The cost is $25 for a zipped sweatshirt in either black or dark grey, long sleeve T's in black, grey or PURPLE for $20. I need 40 orders before we can get another run done. Powell Convention Center.  Art & Craft Show: Exhibitors displaying unique handcrafted items including wearable art, jewelry, lawn & garden decor, toys, florals, fine art, caricatures, and more.  Easter Kids' Fun Fair: Continuous activities, games, contests, and entertainment, including Beany the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts, magic, juggling, puppet shows, and more.  Admission for both shows: Adults $4; Seniors & Students $3.  3 years and under, Military, Police, Fire FREE.

• The Joshua M. Freeman Foundation has announced that the 2015 summer season of The Freeman Stage at Bayside will feature a diverse offering of dance, theatre, childrens performances, and live music—including 16 National Recording Artists. Tickets for all performances go on sale online to the public Monday, April 13th, on www.freemanstage.org.  The 16 National Recording Artists include Rosanne Cash (June 27), Daryl Hall & John Oates (June 29), The Beach Boys (July 2), Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (July 3), Melissa Etheridge & Blondie (July 8), The Wailers (July 10), Heart (July 24), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (July 25), Indigo Girls (July 29), Preservation Hall Jazz Band (July 31), Colbie Caillat & Christina Perri (August 4), Lyle Lovett and His Large Band (August 13), Rusted Root (August 28), and Aaron Tippin. (September 11) Combined, performers from the 2015 season have 50 Grammy nominations, 16 Grammy wins, and 4 are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

• The lawyer says to the wealthy tycoon "I have some good news and, I have some bad news".  The tycoon replies "I've had an awful day, let's hear the good news first".  The lawyer says "Your wife invested $5,000 in two pictures today that she figures are worth a minimum of $20 million".  The tycoon replies enthusiastically "Well done, very good news indeed!  You've just made my day; now what's the bad news?"  The lawyer answers "The pictures are of you screwing your secretary".
