  • From the Prez: I need someone to go to Council meeting in Baltimore this Friday, Dec 16, 7:30 in Catonsville at Knights of Columbus. Roost pays mileage for the trip. Also need someone to fill in for January meeting, I'll be on vacation. Text or call 410 627 7697. Thanks, Donna.
  • Road Trip 2017 - As hoped, the Ravens will be playing a game in London next season. It appears that the date will be either Sept. 24 OR Oct. 1st.
I have already been in touch with Jacob, our Fandeavor rep., who did such a good job helping us with the details of the recent Dallas trip. I have also contacted "Prime Sport", the Ravens Official Agent for London Travel Packages. They will be contacting me once they have worked out the options they will offer. In addition, Maggie and I have been to London several times and have some ideas on sights that the group might want to visit.
The thing to consider at this point is how long of a trip you will want to take. Once you get to London, it is easy to visit many other parts of England as well as other countries and cities in Europe, including Paris. The basic trip will probably include 3 or 4 nights in London, some sightseeing to popular places (Tower of London to see the Real Raven Birds is a must), and tickets/transportation to the game. I have asked Fandeavor to look at hotels with easy access to public transportation (London has some of the best in the world) for individual sightseeing during the day.
As with the Dallas trip, there will be a number of options available depending on how individuals want to tailor their trip. Although I do not have a lot of information at the moment, I wanted to get the word out that we have started working on the trip. If anyone has particular questions, ideas or recommendations please let me know. We will hold a preliminary meeting in late January to get an idea of who and how many people are interested in going. Thanks, Gary.
  • Entertainment Committee:
All members are welcome to join the committee! We need more participation from all members. Our next entertainment committee meeting will be at the Original Greene Turtle on Wednesday, December 14th @ 5:30 pm (prior to Ravens Rap).

Ravens Poop
  • The Ravens fell out of the playoff picture with a 30-23 loss to the Patriots on Monday. The Ravens however still control their own playoff destiny; if they win their remaining three games they will be Champions of the AFC North. That quest begins with the last home game of the year, Sunday, 1 pm., against the Philadelphia Eagles.
  • Good daily dose of Ravens news notes and nuggets here. It’s getting to the point where I can hardly stand ESPN, but I do go Jamison Hensley’s Blog here to stay up to date with all of the AFC North news.

Funny Poop
  • Kathy began a job as an elementary school counselor and she was eager to help.
One day, during recess, Kathy noticed a young girl standing by herself on one side of the playing field while the rest of the kids were playing a game of soccer.
A while later, Kathy walked over to the young girl and offered, "Would you like me to be your friend?"
The girl looked at Kathy suspiciously, then said hesitantly, "Okay, I guess so…"
"Why are you standing here all alone?" asked Kathy.
"Because," the little girl said with great exasperation, "I'm the goalie!"
