  • From the Prez: I need someone to go to Council meeting in Baltimore this Friday, Dec 16, 7:30 in Catonsville at Knights of Columbus. Roost pays mileage for the trip. Also need someone to fill in for January meeting, I'll be on vacation. Text or call 410 627 7697. Thanks, Donna.
  • Road Trip 2017 - As hoped, the Ravens will be playing a game in London next season. It appears that the date will be either Sept. 24 OR Oct. 1st.
PRELIMINARY RR#44 LONDON ROAD TRIP IDEAS
    • Option to include air. The basic price probably will NOT include air as people may want to book their own flights in order to extend their stay. I’m asking Fandeavor to provide an option for air to those that want it.
    • WEDNESDAY; Fly to London. This is usually an overnight flight!
    • THURSDAY; Arrive early daytime
      • INCLUDED IN BASIC TRIP;
        • 4/5 Star Hotel Accommodations in Downtown London. Transportation to/from airport, hotel, Football Game and excursions.
        • THURSDAY; Transportation from the airport to the hotel, then free time to settle in, take a nap, walk around the neighborhood, hit a few pubs, welcome reception that evening.
        • FRIDAY; Guided Tour of London to include Tower of London Private Tour (Including seeing the famous Raven Birds), Changing of the Guard Ceremony, Westminster Abbey,
        • SATURDAY; Thames Riverboat Trip (and dinner?), St Paul's Cathedral, London Eye, Pub Crawl? (Pub Crawl either Friday or Saturday depending on timing of the sightseeing tour's)
        • Sightseeing may change between Friday & Sat. as available.
        • SUNDAY; Tailgate Party. Game tickets for Ravens vs Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. Although everyone enjoyed the location of the seats in Dallas, I am also considering something less expensive in an effort to keep the total price down.
        • OPTIONS; purchase additional private excursions, extend stay in same Hotel @ Group Rate.
        • MONDAY; Depart London
    • Fandeavor will help with any additional sightseeing or travel individuals may want to do. Again, this is an effort to show what we are planning but is NOT the final itinerary. I will send out more info as it develops. Please let me know if you have any interest so I can keep you updated.
    • Thanks, Gary, 443-618-9972

Ravens Poop
  • The Ravens’ playoff dreams were eliminated by losing to Pittsburgh on Christmas Day, 31-27. The team’s vaunted defense allowed three 4th quarter touchdowns and surrendered two 4th quarter leads in the defeat. The Ravens finish the season on New Year’s Day in Cincinnati against the Bengals, 1 pm.
  • Good daily dose of Ravens news notes and nuggets here. It’s getting to the point where I can hardly stand ESPN, but I do go Jamison Hensley’s Blog here to stay up to date with all of the AFC North news.
  • All the best Orioles news notes and nuggets at Britt's Bird Watch here.

Funny Poop
  • One lovely morning, Ben and Thomas were out golfing. Ben slices his ball deep into a wooded ravine. He grabs his 8-iron and proceeds down the embankment into the ravine in search of his ball. Ben searches diligently through the thick underbrush and suddenly he spots something shiny. As he gets closer, he realizes that the shiny object is in fact an 8-iron in the hands of a skeleton lying near an old golf ball.
Ben excitedly calls out to his golfing partner: "Hey Thomas, come here, I got big trouble down here."
Thomas comes running over to the edge of the ravine and calls out, "What's the matter Ben?"
Ben shouts back in a nervous voice, "Throw me my 7-iron! Looks like you can't get out of here with an 8-iron."
