From the Prez
– The election for new Roost officers
and the Board was held at the last Roost meeting on January 11th. The results are:
o President - Eric Waterman
o Vice President - Donna Chaplinski
o Board Member - Patricia Neal
o Treasurer - Sandy Taras
o Recording Secretary - Martha Worthington
o Corresponding Secretary - Ken Taras
o Sergeant at Arms - Igor Gawryluk
Congratulations to all. Members
should think about serving in these positions when many of these will be open
next year. Thanks again to Dennis and
Joanne Faber and Rob Carpenter for serving on the Nominating Committee and
kudos to Rob for conducting the election.
I have got out of the habit of reminding the members that we collect
plastic grocery bags at every Roost meeting. These bags are used by Diakonia (Food Bank
& Homeless Shelter) to distribute food contributions to the needy. My white Ford pickup is parked in front of the
OC 360 at every Roost meeting. Simply
put your plastic bags in the bed of the truck.
This is a great way to recycle plastic bags.

Tournament: Tentative date and time - Thurs Feb 15, 2018; 7-9pm for golf, food & prizes later at Greene Turtle.
• Where: Golf at 136th St.
indoor venue with beer, wine and soda before and during play
• Current status: 30 signed up.
• Format: same as last year:
Foursomes of 2 mixed teams of 2 (male/female) - projected cost $25-30pp based
on head count.

Friday - Burgers with Bob of Opposite Directions, Lighthouse Sound
Restaurant. Burgers with Bob is Back!
Every Friday night in January and February, Bob from Opposite Directions
will be playing in our lounge from 6-9pm.
A special burger menu will be available on these nights prepared by Chef
Joel, plus we will have Happy Hour drinks specials from 4 - 7pm.

he made his move.

you" she said politely. "This
may sound rather odd in this day and age, but I'm keeping myself pure until I
meet the man I love."
"That must

it has my husband pretty upset."
