OCEAN CITY -- An Ocean City town employee was seriously injured when he and the scooter he was riding were struck by a turning vehicle.
At 2:43 p.m. Friday, a man was hit by a car when he was traveling in the southbound bus lane of Coastal Highway in the area of 45th Street, according to Ocean City Police spokeswoman Jessica Waters.
The man was West Ocean City resident Dave Quilter, who works with the Ocean City maintenance department, according to Public Works Director Hal Adkins.
