No offense to Joe Flacco, but there's only one #5 in Baltimore, and his name is Brooks. Arguably the greatest third baseman to ever lace up the spikes, he was my boyhood baseball idol. When I played third I felt I was Brooks; I held my glove the same way, brushed stones away with my foot the same way. My all time favorite Oriole and it's not even close. So Happy Birthday Brooksie, and thanks for the memories!
